A terrible experience. I would never recommend them; they don't even deserve a single star. Even though I had no accidents or incidents that could have caused any scratches, they charged me over €2,300 for a tiny scratch on the bumper that likely occurred before or after my rental.

This scratch is so small it’s almost invisible to the naked eye, yet they billed me this astronomical amount. Charging the price of a small car for a minor scratch on a plastic bumper—what do you call this? It's a total scam! To make matters worse, they blocked my email address so that I couldn't reach out to contest it. Their understanding of customer satisfaction is zero. Stay away at all costs.

Ich hatte ein Fahrzeug am Flughafen Riyadh angemietet. Als ich es abholen wollte, sagte der Agent, dass aufgrund eines Systemausfalls keine Fahrzeuge ausgegeben werden können. Da ich vorausbezahlt hatte, versicherte er mir, dass ich eine Rückerstattung erhalten werde. Alamo weigerte sich, eine Rückerstattung vorzunehmen, da ich keine Beweise vorlegen konnte. Ich bin hier eindeutig einem Betrug zum Opfer gefallen. Nie wieder Alamo!

Gabby and the Team servicing HOU airport were fantastic. They provided exceptional service and expressed sympathy when another rental car agency failed to fulfill its obligation to service me. I would recommend them for your next car rental.

Ich habe den Wagen über Check24 mit meiner Visa-Debitkarte gebucht. Die Zahlung wurde problemlos akzeptiert, deshalb bin ich selbstverständlich davon ausgegangen, dass diese Karte auch bei der Abholung in Danzig genutzt werden kann.
Vor Ort wurde mir dann mitgeteilt, dass Debitkarten vom Vermieter nicht akzeptiert werden. Eine Alternative wurde nicht angeboten, sodass ich den Mietwagen direkt am Schalter stornieren musste. Kurz darauf kam die Rechnung: 119 € Stornogebühr bei einem Mietpreis von 134 €. Für mich fühlt sich das wie eine Strafe dafür an, dass ich mit genau der Karte bezahlt habe, die bei der Buchung ausdrücklich funktioniert hat.
Wenn Debitkarten ein Ausschlusskriterium sind, muss das klar und deutlich vor der Buchung kommuniziert werden – und nicht erst, wenn man mit Gepäck am Flughafen steht. So bleibt am Ende nur Frust, Kosten und kein Auto.
Transparenz und kundenfreundlicher Service sehen anders aus. Für mich leider keine Empfehlung.

I rented a car in Muscat, Oman. It was very dirty. Before returning the car, I washed it at a car wash. I returned it clean and without any damage. Now I have been waiting for two months for my deposit to be refunded. No one from Alamo wants to help me with this issue. I do not recommend using this company!!!

Pessimi….unico obiettivo è addebitarti l’impossibile…..noleggiato auto da punta cana per 10gg riconsegna a Santo Domingo….auto consegnata sporca e con vari danni….pagato 200$ per assicurazione totale (così ero tranquillo) alla riconsegna ho lavato l’auto e fatto il pieno e mi hanno addebitato €336 per igienizzazione auto….ridicoli!!! Mai più

Es una vergüenza, alquilamos un coche en la pagina AUTOEUROPE, y el vehículo pertenecía a la empresa ALAMO (que además pertenece a otra empresa ENTERPRISE CAR RENTAL). Cuando llegamos al Aeropuerto de Basilea para recogerlo, nos dejo tirados por problemas eléctricos. Para ponernos en contacto con la asistencia en carretera fue una locura porque era un contestador automático. Finalmente vino una grúa, se llevo el coche y nos dejo tirados a toda la familia, niñas incluidas y las maletas en mitad de la calle. Tuvimos que volver por nuestros medios al aeropuerto a por otro coche. Un mes después nos han hecho un cargo de 1100 euros por la asistencia en carretera. Una vergüenza, porque las distintas empresas echan la culpa a la otra, y al final no solucionan nada.

En Alamo Rent a Car en el Aeropuerto de Santo Domingo ( RD ) son lo mejor, el Sr Angel Mercado es de esas personas que te hace sentir como familia y no como cliente. Los recomiendo 100%.

Взял в аренду автомобиль в Дубае и мне начали приходить не существующие штрафы из Abu Dhabi хотя я даже там небыл,это мошенническая схема где штраф подделывается на специальной программе и посылается мне как клиенту и затем снимают с кредитной картой вместо комиссией

These are a bunch of con artists. Not only did I get a very unreliable Jeep (supposed to be an upgrade but definitely not) but they also do not answer your calls if you have problems returning the car. After reassurance when I arrived back in Vigo that I would not be charged extra, I was charged €60 extra for being an hour late. These folks, particularly Paula are a bunch of liars. Never again.

Good service overall. They were very clear about what they could and couldn't do. I didn't get 100% back due to some fees, but 85% is better than zero. Glad I found 🄹ⓤ🅂ⓣ🄸ⓒ🄴ⓕ🄸ⓔ🄻ⓓ

**¡ALERTA! MI PÉSIMA EXPERIENCIA CON DOYOUSPAIN Y ALAMO RENT A CAR (GRANADA) 😤**

Quiero compartir mi indignación y advertir a cualquiera que esté pensando en alquilar un coche con #DoYouSpain o #AlamoRentACar, especialmente si es en Granada. ¡Lo que me ha pasado es de juzgado de guardia!

Reservé y pagué **265€** por un vehículo de 9 plazas (Mercedes Vito, Ref. DYS-198780191) para el 29/01/2026 en el Aeropuerto de Granada. Era VITAL para mi familia y yo, ya que teníamos un viaje planificado a Cádiz con apartamento reservado.

Al llegar a la oficina de Álamo, me denegaron el coche por no tener tarjeta de crédito (un requisito que no estaba claro para mi tipo de reserva). ¡Pero aquí viene lo peor!

❌ **Falta de soluciones:** Propuse coger un coche más básico, pero se negaron. Álamo me ofreció un 5+2 plazas, pero Doyouspain se negó a gestionarlo. ¡Se pasaban la bola el uno al otro sin darme ninguna alternativa real!
❌ **Propuesta ILEGAL e IRRESPONSABLE:** En una de las llamadas, ¡me sugirieron la barbaridad de intentar meter a 7 personas en un coche de 5 plazas! Esto es una ilegalidad y una irresponsabilidad total que pone en riesgo la seguridad.
❌ **Atención al cliente NULA:** El mismo día de la recogida, pasé horas al teléfono (al 964 83 09 95) intentando solucionar el problema. Las llamadas eran irrisorias, poco cooperativas y ¡me llegaron a colgar el teléfono!
❌ **Excusas absurdas:** En la oficina, la excusa era que "el programa de ordenador" no permitía hacer cambios ni abrir un acta. ¡Una estrategia para no dejar constancia y no dar soluciones!
❌ **Imposible contactar por email:** He intentado enviar correos, pero solo recibo respuestas automáticas que me redirigen a un formulario, impidiendo cualquier comunicación efectiva.

**Resultado:** Me quedé sin el coche que pagué, perdí un día entero de mis vacaciones discutiendo con ellos y tuve que buscar una solución de transporte de última hora para mi familia y el viaje a Cádiz. ¡Y los 265€ cobrados, sin devolver!

Estoy iniciando un proceso de retrocesión de cargo con mi banco y una reclamación formal.

**¡MUCHO CUIDADO con estas empresas!** Mi experiencia ha sido un despropósito total y una falta de respeto al consumidor. No os arriesguéis a que os arruinen un viaje como me lo han arruinado a mí.

I left my bag of shoes in one of the vans, and despite a few emails to them regarding this issue, I have received no response. I chatted with them online, but to no avail. My wife talked with someone on the phone and was told someone would email me. It's been 4 days now, and still no response whatsoever. I will edit my review once this issue is resolved.

With the above being said, the following remarks are part of my edited review:
It's been over a week now, and Alamo (Brisbane) hasn't replied, so I'm back to edit my review as I previously stated. Two days ago, Alamo took funds out of my account without any explanation, even though everything was paid. I replied to them by email regarding this issue and the previous one, but again, no response. I wouldn't be surprised if the former was due to the negative review I did a week ago (first paragraph). What is clear is that they don't often respond to queries, yet they are so quick to take money out of people's accounts. I'm not impressed overall.
