I reached out to Angi.com on Monday. They sent me two businesses. I contacted A to Z Plumbing, Charleston, wv, fifty miles away from my house. The job was completed Wednesday. A to Z will get ALL of my future business. Angi. com was extremely helpful.
The first repair person never showed up. No contact. The second was so scary I couldn’t let them in my house he rode up on a motorcycle with girl on the back. They looked like they were dirty. I was very afraid for my safety.
I do not recommend Angi. I purchased a mattress on Wayfair, and was told I could have them haul away my old mattress for a fee. They scheduled it with Angi. The first person scheduled was a no show, and wouldn't answer my texts. I then called Angi, they rescheduled. The next person didn't pick it up either. I contacted customer service, and after talking to two agents, I was promised a refund. Nothing. I've since contacted Wayfair, and was promised a refund as well. I don't feel very optimistic about that happening either.
Andrews Home Services Mr Ernestor Andrews and his Son did a very good job for me fixing my walls, light fixture and a closet door and they leave the place clean & neat I will be using that company again. thank you so much.
I was bombarded by tons of contractors calling, texting, emailing me all day. These contractors call & Text 7,8,9 times a day even after I respond telling them I will contact them when I am ready to make a decision. I am contacted by contractors I didn’t even pick or see on Angi list. I provided tons of info for the job quote when I started the project with Angi list expecting quotes. But NO, every one of these guys want a phone call meeting & an in person meeting. Like you have to hold their hands. You end up asking for 3-4 quotes & spend 3-4 hours walking them through it before you get a quote. I get 5 or 6 phone calls a day from a few of the contractors, not too mention texts & I am so pissed that I will not be using any of their services & I will never use Angi bleep list again.
Why can't your software allow me to update my service areas myself? Why does your service agent mumble and seem like he doesn't like to help? Why do I have to call back with a massive list and waste my time reading them off for manual entry by your rep? Why wasn't another solution presented, like reducing the service area of WI by a certain radius and increasing Mn by a certain amount? I frankly do NOT want to call back and deal with your service reps, and am almost confident I will run into another issue. (Message I wrote to Angie, do not use their service for leads)

D3 incorporated replaced the balcony off my bedroom. Jamie Taylor gave an estimate that was well within my budget. I was under a time constraint and he completed the job the day before my guest arrived. Jamie discussed any and all deviations so I was always included in decisions. He worked alone most of the time, which I couldn’t believe he was able to do. I highly recommend Jamie with D3.

Angi sucks. Especially for contractors $100+ for a lead you share with other cheap contractors is unnacceptable. Have no clue how they are still in business and they dont take responsibility or accountability. DONT USE THEM use other exclusive lead apps

As a service provider I would not recommend Angi. Crappy leads that you are charged for, crappy customer service, and a very discourteous company. I was a client of Angi since it was home advisor, so a few years, 2020 to be exact. My issue was last year 2025. My Father was admitted to the hospital, therefore I paused my leads. My Dad ended up with sepsis and passed away 3 weeks later. With dealing with the hospital, and then the arranging the funeral, and getting his affairs in order I completely forgot about pausing my leads. Then when I did remember, and I went to turn my leads back on the account was disabled. I called the help number and was told that I would have to pay a $300 fee to get reinstated. No way was I going to pay this. Very disloyal company. Spend the money on marketing, you will get a better ROI.

Order installation of a 5 piece bedroom set from Grainwood Furniture ( 8 boxes in total). The Angi quote through Grainwood Furniture quoted $500 based off our order.
One gentleman came 2.5 hours after scheduled appointment time. My wife and I said, “That’s gonna take him for ever.” After 3.5 hours he had completed 4 or the 8 boxes, or 2 of the 5 pieces of furniture. That’s when he made us aware that they are only allotted 3.5 hours. Either we could request overtime or schedule to have someone else come out at a different day and time. By this time it was around 7:30pm and he probably would have had to stay until 10:30pm to finish, so we decided to reschedule and I requested that they make sure 2 people come out this time. Two other gentlemen came out to complete the remaining 3 pieces of furniture 2 days later.
The completed worked was good. My biggest complaint with Angi is why would you allow one person to accept such a cumbersome job with a 3.5 hour time limit.

We had an EV charger installed by A Squared Electric. I have never had such a wonderful experience with a company…(and I am not a young person)….lol
Everything was done in a very knowledgeable, professional and courteous manner. I would highly recommend their services to anyone in need of an electrician.

Uses offshore workers to do calls. How about US workers instead

I booked an installation of a wifi thermostat for my HVAC. Lowes reached out to Angi, and Angi booked me out of the blue for Feb 2nd, 26 at 2-3:30. I wouldnt be home at that timeand I rebooked it for Thursday Feb 4th, 26 at 2-3:30. Today on Feb 4th, 26 at 11 I get an email it has been rebooked to May 5th. I called them and they rebooked me for 2/9, 26. However, there is nobody assigned to the task. It's all on a free will of the installer to pick it up if they want. You are getting no service from Angi. I have never had a more non-professional experience.

Total rip off I was done with home advisor years ago. They call you trying to hustle you to sign up for crazily ridiculous amount to pay monthly run for the hills just re-signed up a week ago leads are garbage. They told me the leads will cost $22 and up so far every lead they’ve been sending me is over $60-$70 to install. I’m in the security field to install Ring doorbells these devices cost about $60 but they’re charging you $77 for the lead you cannot make no money. These customers are shopping before you know it you’ll spend six $700 in one day. run for The Hills total rip off.

Avoid. Canceled my account the next day, never received the promised refund, and Angi claimed it was “completed” without proof. Bank confirmed no refund was sent. Despite this, Angi kept billing me, threatened collections, and even charged my card $440 without authorization on Feb 2, 2026. Extremely frustrating and poorly handled.

Customer support is extremely unhelpful and unable to provide clear, written information about pricing or requirements. Every time I asked a simple question about whether a subscription is mandatory or if I can pay per lead, I was told that “only a sales manager can explain this”.
Instead of transparent rules or documentation, they constantly push phone calls and sales conversations. Even payment details, as I understand, are expected to be given over the phone, which feels unsafe and unprofessional.
As a non-native English speaker, I explicitly asked for written explanations, but support was unable or unwilling to help. There are no clear, accessible rules anywhere — everything depends on talking to a salesperson.
On top of that, I waited almost a month just to get a call back for verification.
Overall, the lack of transparency, poor support, aggressive phone sales tactics, and long delays make this platform very frustrating to work with. I would not recommend Angi to small service providers who value clarity and professionalism.

The Angie Tech stole my Galaxy S9 tablet.
Their response was Prove It.
He said She Said.
I can't prove it.
No one else was at my house and the tablet is missing.
Not Rocket Science.
Don't rely on them, they make more than the hard workers they send. Search handy man on Craigslist.

I ordered the installation of a new couch that I purchased from Wayfair. I purchased the Angi installation on the Wayfair site and paid the $100+ fee. They proceeded to reschedule the installation twice, and both times it was within 30 minutes of the scheduled time. Both times, I had to leave where I was to meet the installer, who never showed, and then I got an email saying they couldn't find anyone. When I tried to cancel the order, they tried to just reschedule. I was burned twice, so I wouldn't try that again. Terrible service, and Wayfair should reconsider who they partner with, as this makes them look really bad and gets them a poor review as well.
