Outschool is an innovative education platform that offers a variety of engaging, small-group classes online to kids ages 1-18. Unlike traditional classes, Outschool classes give kids the unique opportunity to explore their interests in-depth via interactive, live video by experienced, independent educators. My daughter has been taking Outschool classes since I began homeschooling her in fourth grade. She is now 16. There are so many classes to choose from, there is even teen confidence built in coaches.

Outschool made it easy to search for teachers, offered a variety of learning experiences, and made payment options easy. Very impressed.

We loved our Spanish class!
Our Teacher at Spanish Skool Adventures made learning fun, engaging, and very interactive. The kids learned conversational skills, new vocabulary, the alphabet, numbers, and more — all in a short time without feeling rushed.
We really appreciated the extra games and flashcards she sent for practice, and the focus on spelling is a great bonus. The pace was excellent, and the class covered a lot while keeping the kids excited and involved.
Wonderful experience — highly recommend Outschool!

We used Outschool for most of the past three years. The effectiveness of the teachers have always varied, with most not so great, but there are some real bright spots. The system always allowed my son to try a class for a week and then make a decision--we paid only for one week, a fee that was listed. But now the website has gone to a membership model that is less than transparent and if you decide to leave as a member, you lose the monthly payment you have made. I was paying about $400 per month for two classes that met about an hour per week (each) on Zoom. There would be no grades for the courses either. But think about it--if a student took 5-6 classes per week, it would only be 6 hours of classes, and would cost 10-12 thousand dollars per year for those 6 hours per week of classes. What used to cost 20-30 dollars per week, now costs approximately 50 dollars. But they are able to hide it through a model. What an amazing scam.

This is a great resource for my son. He took a lot of animation courses over a year and while he enjoyed them he decided he was no longer interested. He is now taking a Bible class with a college professor in Canada and he loves it. There are so many opportunities for these kiddos on Outschool. I am exploring Spanish and Psychology classes for him too. I’m so happy for my son that he has this resource available to him. I wish I did!

We have had our homeschool student in Outschool a wide variety classes since middle school. We have used it heavily for a variety of foreign language classes/tutoring. She has taken years of Russian, Arabic and French. She has been accepted into every college applied to here in her senior year. We credit Outschool for making her look very interesting. Most kids don’t get to take a classes ranging from the study of serial killers to F1 cars in school. The most important thing she learned was how to be a great writer. There has been no shortage of rigor and plenty of opportunities for things like AP level work. The classes she took turned their heads. We are sure. We have only positive experiences to report as our time with Outschool comes to a close.

I like the flexibility and access that my kids can have with lessons they like to learn. My kids are engaged. And it is not too long. I have more flexibility to work and still have my kids homeschooled. They also have tutoring and its amazing. Whoever made outschool you guys are a genius. Thank you.

Initially, class owner was responsive but after class, neither owner or teacher answered questions about future classes. In addition, my child mentioned that the teacher was a bit curt and not the warmest.

Long time user, finally quitting this system. I loved Outschool and we had many years of awesome teachers! Obviously, because of the changes in the Outschool platform, a new and better platform will be forced to take its place, so these great teachers have a place to go.
The new 'credit' system is confusing, and rips you off. We are fed up with it, and decided to cancel. Discovered during the cancellation process that you don't get refunded for a full months' worth of unused credits AND if you cancel, after that month is over you don't get to use those already paid for credits! We literally are forced to pay a month in advance, and when I cancelled on the 30th, my account is closed on the 1st, and I can't use any of those already paid for credits.
What company forces you to pre-pay for classes, then if you decide you don't want to go month to month anymore, you LOSE all your pre-payment? With no refund?!
It's bad enough the past two years you could not reach a human for help at all, but this new ripping people off scheme just was the final nail in the coffin for us. I'm sad to see the platform turn into this. It was awesome for years, and now, I strongly urge anyone to avoid it. Find another way to get your online learning. We are quitting Outschool! So frustrated.

We really enjoyed outschool and the education from the teachers was great, but the new payment system has caused us nothing but headaches, we are now reluctant to use outschool, and use alternatives where possible.

This has been an outstanding resource for my kids from elementary through high school. So much variety and accountability from the educators.

I had no idea Outschool memberships included free classes! And the free classes dont feel "free" if you know what i mean. So far this is an amazing perk of membership. I am well pleased.
