re: the amendment that congress passed today that will prevent trans kids specifically from using puberty blockers (through military parent healthcare I think) in the u.s.

Everyone keeps saying “but cis kids will get to use puberty blockers” and yeah the goal of this amendment is definitely transphobia, but I’m pretty sure it’s also a way harm intersex kids (the ones you’re calling cis). Maybe not, idk I’m not intersex so if someone who is wants to say something be my guest but I feel like this is a moment where everyone is forgetting intersex people yet again

So like. keep intersex kids in mind please when you’re talking about this amendment/this issue at all

FRIENDLY REMINDER to everyone saying “trump is gonna make hrt illegal! He’s gonna criminalize possession of hormones!!”

it is already illegal in the u.s. to possess testosterone without a prescription. I am not anti safe DIY, the law =/= morality, but when advertising this stuff you either need to keep this fact in mind and make sure the people you’re encouraging to do it are aware of the risks or not say anything at all.

The risks are different for people on testosterone and I am begging people to not forget that detail.
