GenOne esports team creation

[edit]

GenOne now has 3 players (SIXER, wasink and jeyN) with proven track records in A-Tier events and one of them SIXER in S-Tier events. Recently, the team won ESEA/Cash_Cup/Europe/2022/Autumn/2 and was invited in European_Development_Championship/Season_6/Qualifier. The total in monetary tournament prize winnings is just a few $14,985USD.

I'm willing to update User:Synop_s/GenOne page if you think that GenOne is now notable enough? Thanks!

Sinister5

[edit]

Sorry for the late response, Im rarely here at all nowdays. I assume you mean the sources for the current line-up and I dont have that, as ELUSIVE went to Goliath and Lately decided to focus on studies we are playing with 2 stand ins. In management we decided to not announce whoever was playing because it just wasnt static and didnt seem notable to us. So its good that the current roster is down to just the three that we can see on the page now, as they are the ones that are still in a static position in the team. No need to add the remaining 2 until its official. Thank you for all your contributions to the page. Regards, Personality, manager for Sinister5 LCMK (talk) 20:39, 26 November 2020 (UTC)

We have 4 players with proven track records in MDL and ESL Pro League experience (tahsiN, LyGHT, syken and SolEk , and we are listed in all domestic top leagues. We play against BIG, Alternate Attax & Unicorns of Love, who all are enlisted.

About name "Алексей"

[edit]

There are two ways to romanize this name: 1) Alexey - OverDrive, NickelBack, Qikert 2) Aleksey - Elian, 1uke. I think there should be a rule about it. Because in Russian it's the same name. wiki

F_1N Coach

[edit]

F_1N wasn't coach at all these events. Ivan "F_1N" Kochugov is no longer pro100 coach (in russian) .It's pro100 official website. September 15th, 2017. pro100 page has this reference [5]. I don't know why there were so many mistakes. Probably because this news wasn't translated into english.

Liquipedia Discussion

[edit]

Hi, I see you've previously tried to use talk pages to discuss tournament pages. Usually it is best to discuss these things in Discord as it is quicker, easier to respond and more people will notice.

TeamCard Player Order

[edit]

Players in the teamCard template should be in order of seniority, so if p2 is replaced that means that p3 should move to p2 and so on, the new player would end up as p5. Players should only be added to teamcards if they have played in 25% of matches, so in the case a new player is brought in half way through a tournament they would be p6 and the old player would stay.

Tournament Progression

[edit]

Hey, I see you undid my revision to SK's guaranteed progression in ESL/Pro_League/Season_6/North_America. Can you let me know why? After they'd beaten Ghost yesterday their lowest league rank possible turned into 5th place (after simulating all possible outcomes for 3/2/1/0 points in each remaining match in the league). I see in the past that [2] had allowed this to occur for I assume similar reasoning (guaranteed progression allows edit to the colour of the bar associated with an individual team).

Players information, sources, and dates.

[edit]

I'm aware of your recent message. Most of the sources I've got was from the players themselves talked about it during their latest live stream. I've been watching NiP and other players stream with a side intention to update their settings here with the most accurate information possible. I don't know how I can put the stream as a reference to the update.

I mostly put their Twitch channel link as the reference and tell the viewers to look at the description if what the they said matches with the description. If the description did not match with what they said, I use a website called ProSettings as an alternative. Of course, I check the site's information whether they match or not. If both did not match, I can either link the recorded video of their stream or link their Twitch channel if they didn't have their past broadcasts saved. Other times I found a picture or video of a certain pro player using a certain set of gear on sources I cannot use as a reference such as an Instagram or Snapchat story either from their team or their own, how do I cite that? I am sure and always will make sure to use the most accurate sources I could find, either from the pro players themselves (verbal or written) or a sighting of them using the specific gear (I make sure it isn't the wrong person nor outdated).

I'm sure you're aware that I deleted some things from f0rest and Xizt such as their computer specs. The information on the site is outdated and their Twitch says that they weren't using any of the gears listed anymore. I could not find the complete and reliable to what their computer specifications are, so I decided to delete them to prevent giving false and/or outdated information.

Regarding the dates, which timezone should I use? I've used my own timezone as to updating the dates in the past.

I really do want to help Liquipedia by mainly getting the pro player's gears and settings correct and up-to-date. I'll focus first on NiP and a few other players whenever I stumble upon an up-to-date and accurate information. Thank you for the notice.

P.S. my Discord is vailant if you prefer chatting using Discord instead of talk. I'm in the Liquipedia Discord channel.

Notability and ping question

[edit]

I increased the prize pool and moved it back. Im one of the people behind the tournament and it shouldnt be a problem to increase the prize pool so it fits the notability guidelines. There are some notable teams in the tournament as well. To answer your other question, its easy. Pakistani players get around 150 ms at best on EU servers, which PortaL is used to playing with. Awhile back i asked you to move back https://liquipedia.net/counterstrike/User:SammeMMII/SamE and https://liquipedia.net/counterstrike/User:SammeMMII/SamE/Coaching you answered with saying that he needs to get more achievements that is not a qualifier before getting a page. I think you should because even tho he doesn't have alot of achievements he has some so it's atleast something but it's up to you =)

Dude seriously. I know you are an enthusiastic Liquipedia editor but deleting a page that has been up for over a month and that was "accepted" by Liquipedia staff is not OK. Just keep it as it is. Please do not move my stuff without even discussing it, especially since it's been up for so long. In other words, leave it to the Liquipedia staff, which is what the guidelines rules ACTUALLY say.

Hello! I did not try to remove it, the fact is that the flag banned in the player's description means that it is banned in principle, but it's not, it's been a long time since the bounce of his ban and he sometimes starts playing in tournaments, so I put the status of Active and removed from the description of the player word banned, but the status is not removed.

Questionable conduct from staff member

[edit]

The user iMarbot have been explicitly reverting changes which were originally perfectly reasonable, conformal tweaks for presentation.

For instance, on the Mouse table, the template is set to hide certain elements where the information is rendered irrelevant by certain cell values. As an example, if raw input is enabled for the player, various information pertaining to Windows pointer setting and windows acceleration, etc will have no effect on the player setting, therefore there is no need to show them on the table. After the table has been made to smartly hide elements, the user iMarbot explicitly set one of the dynamically hiding element to always-show. While I could have reverted the change on grounds that it does not conform with the presentation logic set by the table style, I obligingly accepted the re-addition to always-show elements, and even goodwill adapted its formatting to fit the presentation language of the table, making it dynamically highlighted depending on the player configuration (since previously it's show when relevant and hide when not, because iMarbot insisted on keeping it always-show, I changed it instead to be highlighted when relevant and conversely when not).

But somehow my obligingly goodwill change does not satisfy him, and he then made a direct revert on the formatting that have no rationalization other than as a direct rejection. When I reached out to him attempting to amicably converse about a potential misunderstanding he threatened to hunt down every change I have made, and claims to be doing a favor with his extortion. It is already somewhat lacking that a staff member was not the one actively seeking to clear up potential misunderstanding. It is another wholly questionable conduct to belligerently reject an offer for discourse in such a confrontational manner, and resort to intimidation tactics conspicuously brandishing authority for it.

Please see context of conversation: https://prnt.sc/l0g8b6

Vision Gaming Images

[edit]

Sorry for the mistake!

These are images taken by Midwest Esports during the Tokyo in Tulsa LAN. They usually make these images public and they are used very often online.

I don't have any direct references to show that they're available for public use, so the safe option would probably be to take them down. I'll try to re-add them if I can find a source that states they can be used.

Yaw bug fixed for mouse table

[edit]

Yaw bug fixed.

My yaw bugfix is being deliberately reverted by iMarbot

[edit]

he keeps on tinkering with code that he doesn't understand, most recently he reverted all my conditionals for error-detecting the edge cases for the void yaw bug.

Conditionals

[edit]

Do you want the edge case bug fixed or not? Just tell him to stop touching things he don't understand at all, otherwise any fix I make to resolve bugs will not stay because it just gets instantly reverted. He keeps on making changes that breaks the table logic, and adding back variables that are irrelevant when certain states are active, when previously a lot of work have gone into making the table smartly hide irrelevant info, such as if accel is entered as "disabled", it will detect that it is not on and simply hide it. iMarbot keeps on interfering with these types of conditionals code as well as presentation style to push his inexplicable agenda. If you look at the edit history and the nature of the edits from him, it is abundantly clear that what he is doing is clearly unprovoked edit warring. Each time I make code optimizations, he deliberately reverts. If that isn't vandalism from him then I don't know what is. How is it that someone with elevated privilege abusing their privilege continues to be let to their own dev1ces?

Reason for me to switch to a User-space pages

[edit]

I know I can not switch to user pages, but I created this page as a fantasy team for my pages, however I can not put "User:Krashfx1/Template:Team/Sedex Clan" because it does not work in the codes. So I used the normal way to template and link my page

Rejection of my changes on BIGs page

[edit]

Hello! I wanted to ask you why you rejected my changes on BIG. The team does officially have 2 Coaches. However, legija is coaching less tournaments than kakafu. Gob b (IGL of BIG) confirmed that in a recent interview which you can find here where he said: "[...]It is good to have two coaches so that one can also stand in for the other. It is not like which of the two has more to say, Niko is simply a better motivational coach, that is why he is most of the time behind us at tournaments. Both are really important for us, and I would recommend every organisation to have at least two coaches."

Please answer with a reason why I am wrong. I got the evidence by an interview from gob b. Would like to know If I missed something. - Sonic1305 (talk) 13:22, 17 June 2019 (UTC)

Forgive me if I am doing this wrong, but you wrongly corrected my edit to godsent, Godsent is only being sponsored by a single Samsung product (maybe a product line soon) and not the whole company. -The_NDR 02:48(GMT) 15, SEP, 2020

Если ты посмотришь внимательно на новость на сайте https://virtus.pro/en/articles/flatra-and-maad-are-leaving-virtus-pro, то там указано, что мы расстались в конце лета. То есть с 1 сентября мы уже не работали.

The issue with the team image seems to be fixed on my end now after I purged the page, thanks for the help.

Hi! I have a question:

Why was my edit in which I added the Viewership Stats reverted?

Thanx

Touch Point Gaming

[edit]

Do you have a source on it being TouchPoint Gaming rather than Touch Point Gaming? Their esea page, twitter, and the frag results page all have it as separate words, but I saw you put in the team template redirect so I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.

So standard have changed, and I know I am not that often here anymore but why havent someone updated the Help page? If a standard is changed it needs to be documentet so others can see it, Discord is not a please for that. I guess the consistancy if stuff like documentation has been lowered since back in the days. This is why things like this happens, I guess someone can bot-change everything so it looks the same?

FLuffy Gangsters

[edit]

Sorry to keep you waiting.

Yes, i do have a proof that my new version of FLuffy Gangsters is related to the old org. As a player of a new roster of FLuffy Gangsters i can approve that everything i've changed is a true. And that's why:

- Here is our official esea team page where you can see And1k in a roster who is a CEO of FLG also known as Andrey Sazanov Also you can check previous rosters where you can see players from former rosters, such as shiro, nafany etc.

- Besides, And1k has invited all of us (i mean heckbnk, shelly, zavr, agma, deadend) into official FLG Steam Group

- And if all of the above is not enough, then we have also qualified for one of the tournaments listed on the website - FACEIT Collegiate/2022/EU Championship, but we have not yet been included in the participants. We got there according to the results of the open qualification, taking second place.

- Based on the previous proof, we are also all assembled in a team on faceit

Yeah, CEO And1k didn't post anything yet about us, but he will, soon. I can't say too much about changes that i've made about previous rosters, because i am just a player of a team. We were having a conversation with And1k where we touched a theme about Liquidpedia, so i've managed to help him with that, he just told me who needs to be removed, who definitely has no relation to the team - this is what about the changes in the former rosters.

You can easily contact him in steam for further discuss.

Invictus Gaming International complies with Notability Guidelines

[edit]

Hello, I am the creator of the Invictus Gaming International(IG.int) page (the link is https://liquipedia.net/counterstrike/User:Niudechen/Invictus_Gaming_International) . I think it conforms to the Notability Guidelines. There is a rule in the Notability Guidelines: Well-Established Organization: The organization is well known across multiple other esports titles and has achieved high placements in the most relevant competitions of their games, such as The International (Dota 2), Six Invitational (Rainbow Six Siege), or Worlds (League of Legends). IG.int is the international column of Invictus Gaming(IG)'s CSGO division. And IG is a world-renowned esports club with Dota2 Ti2 champion, Lol S8(Worlds 2018) champion, (Here are their Dota 2 pages and LOL pages: https://liquipedia.net/dota2/Invictus_Gaming, https://liquipedia.net/leagueoflegends/Invictus_Gaming ). and the only team in the world to have both a Ti champion and a Worlds champion. I think it is in full conformity with the requirements mentioned above. In the meantime, with the reference links I've given on the page, and their HLTV page (https://www.hltv.org/team/10817/invictus-international), we can prove that this is indeed a real team that belongs to IG. So I hope you can move it out of the user page, thank you!

Reverted edit that clarified that Ukraine-based teams region should be changed from CIS/Russia to Europe (for Monte, IKLA, NAVI, NAVI Junior etc.)

[edit]

Hi Mnmzzz97! I saw that yesterday you reverted all my edits that clarified that Ukraine-based teams region should be changed from CIS/Russia to Europe (for Monte, IKLA, NAVI, NAVI Junior etc.). I am not sure why you reverted the change because Ukraine has withdrawn from CIS/Russia region in 2018 and is now only considered in Europe region. See details about it here for instance on enwiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commonwealth_of_Independent_States#Membership

Also, just on a moral level, in general given Russia-Ukraine War it seems very wrong when Liquipedia incorrectly lists Ukraine-based teams as in CIS/Russia instead of Europe, since this parrots Russia's propaganda that "Ukraine is part of Russia" (and CIS is de-facto Russia region).

I would appreciate it if you cacnel your revert and re-instate edits that clarified that Ukraine-based teams are in Europe region (instead of CIS/Russia).

p.s. FYI, also if you follow Ukrainian esports, ALL Ukraine-based esports teams (i.e., Monte, IKLA, NAVI etc.) have openly stated multiple times that they are based in Europe region, and NOT in the CIS region (because Ukraine is not a part of CIS region).

List of your revert diffs:

Hello,
"I saw your comment a few days. So you are aware, we originally used CIS as a sub-division for the European megaregion as it originally didn't have much of a political connotation. As this has obviously changed we are working on moving away from the term but this will take some time before we come to a new consensus on how to divide the scene into regions.
- Mnmzzz97 (Liquipedia Staff) (talk | Find Me on Discord ) 04:24, 23 May 2023 (UTC)
Hi Mnmzzz97, thanks for the reply! Hopefully Liquipedia staff is able to come up with the updated policy on Europe region, but regardless of who ends up in CIS/Russia region, Ukraine-based teams cannot be in it as Ukraine withdrew from CIS in 2018, and so all Ukraine-based teams should be within Europe region.
Look forward to seeing Liquipedia updates for the region from cis to europe for Ukraine-based teams!
p.s. And since it's been more than 2 weeks, wanted to check in to see if there were any updates on this? I saw that yesterday User:FrogCS brought back my changes of updating region from CIS->Europe for Monte (https://liquipedia.net/counterstrike/index.php?title=Monte&type=revision&diff=2532129&oldid=2523566)), but the same updates weren't made for other Ukraine-based teams like IKLA, NAVI, NAVI Junior etc. --FortuneFavorsTendies (talk) 21:53, 1 June 2023 (UTC)
Hi, I saw you recently reveted User:FrogCS's update in Monte article, so wanted to follow up on the progress of this decision to finally remove Ukraine from Russia/CIS region. In your response above to me earlier you mentioned that "we are working on moving away from the term but this will take some time" - can you please provide a timeline on what does "some time" mean? It's been nearly a month and liquipedia stuff keeps reverting updates for Ukraine based teams where we correct them to be in Europe region (instead of Russia/CIS region). Could you please provide a concrete timeline of when can we see Ukraine-based teams to correclty be displayed as in Europe region?
Also, for instance recently Maincast co-founder v1lat (who btw, is correctly listed as in Europe region on dota2 liquipedia) brought up this topic that all Ukraine-based teams need to be correctly labled as based in Europe (and not Russia/CIS) region, see for instance his today's interivew [in Ukrainian] at Bombardyr media: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFD5_9wgZjk --FortuneFavorsTendies (talk) 21:36, 8 June 2023 (UTC)
Hi! Has there been any update on finally reclassifying Ukraine-based teams as in Europe region instead of Russia/CIS region? Thanks.--FortuneFavorsTendies (talk) 22:20, 20 June 2023 (UTC)

Update: July 2023

[edit]

Hi Mnmzzz97! Has there been any update on finally reclassifying Ukraine-based teams as in Europe region instead of Russia/CIS region? This has been brough up in May 2023, and it is already July 2023 -> more than 2 months later. This is getting ridiculous.----FortuneFavorsTendies (talk) 17:31, 12 July 2023 (UTC)

Update: November 2023

[edit]

HI Mnmzzz97! I saw your response in July 2023 that Liquipedia have figured out logistics of finally updating & reclassifying Ukraine-based teams as based in Europe/EU region instead of in Russia/CIS region. Have you heard any updates in terms of when Ukrainian players can see actual updates to EU location throughout the Liquipedia articles for Ukraine-based teams (Monte etc.) Thanks!--FortuneFavorsTendies (talk) 22:24, 1 November 2023 (UTC)

Change the role for Flatra in Tashkent Traffik

[edit]

Good day!

I'm working together with Flatra and Storm under Tashkent Traffik team now. We agreed to the project work until the end of IESF 2023 with TT and for this period only. So, basically Flatra is now Interim coach, not full-time coach, I have made the changes on his page for correct display purposes. Also before that me and Flatra was co-founders in Websterz (I was CEO and he was Coach), so I have updated this info on his page as well. Could you please change the information for the correct one?

FalleN's career start

[edit]
Hi, Mnmzzz97. I recently updated FalleN's profile regarding his active year's as a player. The verification stated that my update wasn't approved. I would like to discuss the topic with the objective of reaching an agreement, and of course, looking forward to a better state and optimization of the platform. As basis for my change, there is a tweet made by FalleN himself, stating that his first tournament was in 2003 with the team Soldiers of Fire, of Counter-Strike, in Itapetininga. "(Facebook - February 25, 2018) FalleN: 2003 my first CS team, Soldiers of Fire! It’s being a long way. Picture at Soldier Lan House in Itapetininga". I would like to know your opinion about this matter. Thanks for the attention.

Reason for Shimmer modification rejection

[edit]

Not a challenge just trying to learn as I'm new here. I tried to update the Shimmer page on Aug 7 as the team have returned to the branding. Given it's an identical roster I assumed their wouldn't be continuity issues. Are there different evidence or notability standards for the current roster that needs to be met to update the shimmer page? Thanks for your time and your work on the wiki.

Query regarding Settings reference

[edit]

Hey! I had a small question, I have just started making contributions and wanted to do more than just score updates. I saw that Kyousuke's page has minimal information, and wanted to know if this reference is good to go for adding his settings? https://blast.tv/cs/news/kyousuke-cs2-settings I'm asking this because I realised most of the settings references are based on the Twitch chat bot instead of a third-party website. But I believe BLAST is a credible source.
