Matthew "Whitemon" Filemon (born July 22, 2000) is an Indonesian player who is currently playing for Tundra Esports.

Biography

His brother was a former DotA: Allstars professional player named "Blackmon". Inspired by his brother, Matthew decided to create a variation of the name, replacing "Black" with "White" to form his own unique identity.[1]

Whitemon began his professional Dota 2 career in the late 2010s, playing for various Indonesian and Southeast Asian teams such as EVOS Esports. His talent and dedication quickly caught the attention of the esports community, leading to opportunities to compete in regional and international tournaments.

Breakthrough

Whitemon's breakthrough came when he joined T1, a renowned esports organization, in 2021. As the team's position 5 (hard support) player, he played a crucial role in T1's success in the DPC Upper Division and their qualification for The International 10, where they finished 7th-8th.

After leaving T1, he joined TSM in the North American region. He continued to establish himself as an excellent support, although TSM's struggled on the international stage. Nevertheless, the team took a solid second at BetBoom Dacha 2023, losing to Gaimin Gladiators, the dominant team that season, with a scoreline of 1-3.

Tundra Esports

After the end of the Dota Pro Circuit, Tundra Esports temporarily recruited the TSM roster, who were released after The International 2023. He was the only player retained after the event, as Tundra Esports rebuilt with world-class players such as two-time International winner Topson, one-time winner MinD_ContRoL, and young talents Pure~ and 9Class. Tundra Esports slowly climbed the way through the scene, culminating in a 3rd-placed finish at The International 2024, with Whitemon establishing himself as a world-class support, and able to play a wide variety of support heroes.

He was once again retained after 33, fresh off winning The International 2024 with Team Liquid, returned to Tundra Esports, wanting to build his own team. Whitemon continued to grow, putting in several excellent performances, while securing his first Tier 1 tournament and LAN win during FISSURE PLAYGROUND #1.
