2024 Summer

The LCS 2024 Spring was the first split of the 2024 League of Legends Championship Series season, organized by Riot Games. It took place from January 20 to March 31, 2024, at the Riot Games Arena in Los Angeles, United States. Eight franchised teams competed in a Double Round Robin Bo1 Group Stage, followed by a Double Elimination Bo5 Playoff bracket. The total prize pool was $200,000 USD.

The winner and runner-up of the Playoffs qualified for the 2024 Mid-Season Invitational. This split marked the first LCS season to feature eight teams, following Riot Games’ decision to reduce the league size from ten to eight for long-term sustainability. TSM exited the league after selling its slot to Shopify Rebellion, while Golden Guardians departed after their parent organization withdrew from competitive League of Legends and Evil Geniuses left the league.
