I had some longer posts planned but like. Yeah, I just really hate how non-binary gets reduced to “alternate third+ gender option” and people just forget that being bigender or genderfluid or genderflux or otherwise non-binary in a way that may occasionally appear to be momentarily cis is also non-binary. Non-binarism is an identity but it is also an umbrella, and that umbrella is well within its right to include everything up to “entirely cis except for one drop” and y’all just need to cope with that. For some of us, gender isn’t temporally stable, and that means that stability (solidity) is another axis along which social rules about gender can be usurped.
This post suddenly got a lot of notes again, so I do want to mention that notonly is this post about the following, which people have pointed to:
Demigenders which are partially aligned or associated with a binary
Third genders not understood relative to or in contrast with the binary
Non-androgynous physical presentation (including while agender or third gender)
but it is also very much about these forms of non-binarism as well:
Gender which isn’t consistent, which fluctuates between many different genders (which may or may not sometimes align with a person’s agab)
Gender which fluctuates along a gradient between weak/absent and strong/solid
(regardless of what the strong gender is)
Folks who are multiple genders simultaneously (binary or otherwise)
BRUH, okay so I’m the one who took and submitted this picture. These were at this massive antique mall I went to that was also selling guns and pelts and all kinds of other dubious things, so I didn’t think much of lawn darts. I just thought the name was funny.
But apparently this shit is mega illegal to sell because this game has killed people?? Also explains the $75 price tag that I didn’t notice at the time. Apparently people really want this and will pay big money to have it.
It’s so funny how life imitates art. For example when you go to the theater to watch Infinity War and the credits start rolling and half the audience disappears.
