the perseids meteor shower is named for the constellation perseus. it occurs from mid july through mid august, with its peak predicted to be between august 11th and 13th. the perseids are named for their radiant point in the constellation perseus, and are produced by debris from the comet swift-tuttle.

the constellation perseus can be associated with heroism, courage, strength, war, and battles.
meteors are associated with hope, wishes, luck, fortune, wealth, and prosperity.
