Do not get subscription
I had a ring video door bell. Took out their extend subscription. Sold as an extended warranty. But it is not. It is a waste of money. Once doorbell stopped working they took me through 2hours of diagnostic checks with a persons with poor skills at understanding me, and then when it failed. They said u can have a discount to buy an other. After 10 years paying subscription. A 30% discount.
Doorbell is ok subscription a con and a waste of time. Support is an even bigger waste of time

Avoid battery powered spotlight cameras
I’ve had a ring doorbell camera for over a year and have been happy with it. When I needed to replace my outdoor spotlight camera, I opted to buy a Ring battery device. Big mistake. The battery lasts only a couple of days after a full recharge and using the minimum settings. Customer support is abysmal. Bots used for live chat can only answer set questions which are fairly basic and telephoning the help desk is a waste of time.
Good service
I have purchased a doorbell, chime and 3 outdoor cameras, as well as several solar panels. They were not too bad to set up, if you're patient and follow the instructions. Over the course of 5 years, I have had 1 doorbell chime and 1 doorbell stop working. On both occasions, I contacted customer service, who talked me through troubleshooting issues. When it wasn't resolvable, they sent me replacement devices free of charge. Always had timely resolution and good service.
Self righteous pompous american company…
Self righteous pompous american company that wont allow you to view your invoices and billing on their website without having to DELETE your VPN program from your laptop. They beleive they are so good that they can dictate to you whether you protect your online presence or not. Absolute joke

I would give NO stars if I could. I bought a Ring doorbell because of good reviews, so this is a warning. Everything else linked to my wifi works well. The doorbell doesn't. When it works it's good, but mostly it just can't pick up the signal. I've had BT check the signal strength, I've changed the handset I use to pick up pics. So If you live in a stone-built house, think twice

If I could give your customer service zero stars I would! You've sent the wrong item to replace a faulty item in warranty. You can't tell me when you can send the correct item. You expect me to pay someone to install the incorrect replacement, then come back and install the correct replacement. Absolute joke!
Ring doorbell plus do not purchase
I've had the ring doorbell plus since June 2025, it's not worked properly for the last month. I contacted the helpline and was informed there is no issue. I've got new Internet and still doesn't work. I'm so annoyed and won't purchase from them, I've cancelled my subscription as it's a waste and I would rather get one which is reliable.w
Missed events
Missed crucial filming even when on high sensitivity and motion zones are covered, missing people at the front door, missing recordings in the house, literally was filming and missed 10 minutes and started filming again, we needed to see within these 10 minutes and had no option to, good for a very basic system to check on animals etc, bad for any event recording
Awful - can't install or find instructions
Awful. Bought the 'Battery Doorbell Plus', was excited until I tried to install it.... 1.5 hours later and I;m still clueless... there are no instructions, just a QR code. But, to get to the instructions you have to install the app, register, etc, etc. Except that the registration process throws you into a loop that upsets it and yoy have to wait 24 hours - their AI chatbot is completely useless (another 30 mins wasted) and when I finally figure out to call support they just insisted it was my 'VPN' that caused the issue - now I don't have/use a VPN at all, I think it was just what the support agent clung to and continually repeated to me (no matter what my question) to get me off the phone.
So, I'm still clueless as to where to start, I have no idea how to mount it to the wall, I 'think' that there should be a 'mounting plate' in the box, but there isn't. I can't even find a list of what is supposed to be in the box!
I suspect that this might be a good product, but after 2 hours of trying to do something as simple as figure out how to mount it to the wall, I'm giving up and its being returned.

Customer service is dreadful
Customer service is dreadful. Then when you ask to make a formal complaint they tell you there is no complaint team so you can’t. Will be looking for an alternative as for the subscription customers pay you expect some level of customer service.

I bought my Ring Doorbell JULY 2O23 and pay a monthly subscription so i can look back on previous days,weeks etc. January 2026 my Door bell would not charge they say it is out of The 2 year WARRANTY by 5 months . It turns out the doorbell was manufactured in 2021 and lay dorment for 2 years. Would Ring Replace it mmmm NO. If I have room i will share their responce. They would give me a new ring doorbell at a discount so i can keep paying the monthly subscription. Mmm What did DJT say make america great again lol not when they are producing that rubbish NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE. Please stay away also it has taken more than a week to get back to me and my house has been unprotected for them to decide if they were going to replace my £60.00 door bell 5 months out of warranty even though it was 2 years old before i bought it.

simple you would think my ring doorbell camera wont hold charge still in warrenty . ive been passed by vitual customers service to every dead end .i have several devices and have been happy until something goes wrong and the avoid the issue.
take yer money each month for subscription and no service back . i will be looking else where on the market . after buying 2 door bell cameras and 2 indoor cameras.i dont complain about anything but when the ai customer service aggrees with me about the bad service , then its time to change
What a terrible waste of money
What a terrible waste of money. Doorbell I had was a Ring previously and would pick up cyclists across the road or people walking past on the pavement but never anyone moving in our own garden. Paid for the subscription for the past two years, waste of money. Decided in October last year to replace the rubbish doorbell. I purchased another Ring thinking that this one has got to be better, oh how wrong I was. Despite having paid for another years subscription at the end of September, I then got charged again for another years subscription as it goes on the device and not the location.I didn’t know that and was appalled. I rang customer services and was told that at the end of the free trial period the money wouldn’t be taken but it was. Rang again and they did finally reimburse me (as a one off good will gesture)! This doorbell is 100 times worse than the previous one. It catches absolutely nothing at all. We drive large vehicles in and out the drive which are never picked up. The postman delivers letters right in front of it and it can’t catch him. It’s now been 2 days without anything being picked up and we worked in the garden yesterday right in front of the doorbell. When I go on live I can see the whole of my front garden so I have no idea what’s going on with it. It’s never offline, it’s just a complete load of rubbish. Having moaned a few times to customer services I am still no further forward. Doesn’t work, paid a subscription for nothing. Please, please please do not even consider buying one of these products. I’m already looking to change away from them and to get a product that works. This company should be ASHAMED of themselves for the rubbish they provide.

I don't know where to begin, I am so disgusted with this company. I purchased an indoor security camera to monitor rescue dogs - this is essential to prevent any self-injury if they are getting up to mischief in their crate. I have two main criticisms and they are both big ones:
Build quality: The camera is very flimsy but worst of all, connectivity is AWFUL. It keeps dropping out regardless of whether I am using WiFi or mobile data. I constantly have to close the app and restart to regain signal.
Sneaky subscription practices: I realised that I needed to pay a monthly subscription to RECORD footage, but now my trial month is over I am being required to pay a monthly subscription to have what they call "extended live" viewing - which appears to be more than 5 or 10 minutes at a time. This is NOT made clear anywhere in the Amazon advert. I will be returning this item and looking for a suitable replacement. I am simply disgusted with this practice!

Awful company and awful customer service.
My partner (had the contract in his name) has now died and I cannot get them to transfer the contract over to me. I have sent the death certificate, but they say I do not meet the criteria!
The final straw was when the customer services team asked me to send the death certificate from his email address.
Why is every other company able to seamlessly help, but not Ring.com?
This is still not resolved and I doubt it ever will be. No compassion or knowledge from the team.

I feel that Ring Customer Service don't appear to know about their own products
Spoke to Ring on 0808-196-5767 this afternoon and said I wanted a Wired Video Doorbell Pro (newest gen), Featuring Retinal 4K. I said I was starting from scratch and I had no existing doorbell or doorbell wiring.
I asked a number of very basic questions about what was included in the box and what extras I would need.
I finished the call as the person I spoke to didn't appear to know much about the product and setup requirements if starting from scratch. I was told to ask an electrician.
I found the Ring Customer Service unhelpful and lacking in knowledge.
I would like to have known from Ring themselves exactly what was included in the box and exactly what else I would need if starting from scratch.
