Please, please, please read and beware of this scam!

Bought a vehicle in Dec 25 and it’s been in the dealership for more than three weeks, and on the drive for two. Car had a serious fault with a loud knocking when turning, reported straight away to be told not their problem call the manufacturer.

They never reply to emails or call you back. I think Hippo might be a scam so please be careful with this company!!!!

Car was full of scratches that they say on the website will be repaired as they are down to the metal! Passenger seat was stained and can’t be cleaned, they just wet the seat that morning to cover it up.

Car is still in Polestar to replace the front motor and suspension because of a dangerous fault that wasn’t picked up on either the delivery inspection or MOT that Hippo did. Spare parts not available until May at the earliest so can’t even drive my new car. Don’t trust their lies on the website, buyer beware!!!

Car reg is OV23 EWR - happy for Hippo to finally call or email me back anytime but not holding my breath.

Fantastic customer service

Fantastic customer service. Basically they asked what sort of calves looking for what was the most important features for me.And what was my budget?And then they prepared a group of cars that were within my criteria, took all the stress out of searching.And was all concluded within a day. Ian Crosley delivered my car this…

Ian Crosley delivered my car this morning from Hippo Leasing and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. He was so friendly and professional from start to finish. He took the time to show me everything in the car, explained things clearly, and really put my mind at ease. I was a little apprehensive about signing everything online, but he guided me through the process and made it feel very straightforward and easy. A genuinely lovely experience. Thank you, Ian!

Absolutely horrendous experience and…

Absolutely horrendous experience and service we have had 2 vehicles develop serious engine faults within a few weeks . The replacement vehicle then arrived in a disgusting condition with heavily stained seats which then had a engine light after 8 days . It appears this car has a known ongoing engine fault appearing on nearly all of the previous mots but they are still happy to lease it out to customers. We are currently waiting for a full refund and collection of the vehicle but hippo leasing are not communicating effectively and we are still waiting for someone to call us with a date they will be collecting the vehicle and issuing a refund. Various managers will promise to call you but never do and you will be sent in circles chasing them for information and basic responses . It's been an absolute nightmare and we have begun the process of involving trading standards, the motor ombudsman and British vehicle leasing association. We have since found a new company who have found us a newer, better spec and lower mileage car with no issues. We look forward to receiving some contact from hippo motor group with a swift collection of there second failed vehicle and a processed refund. Hippo leasing will be investigated for this horrendous ongoing service.

New car lease!!!

I was looking to get a new car as my old lease was running out, i had the lovely Jack McLoughlin help me navigate through my wants and needs and what fits my criteria. He was very helpful and back and forth with contact picking the best options and updates. Nothing was too much for jack and he was super helpful.

Initial dealings great but having tried to use the warranty (I bought a full 3 year one), the service all falls apart - funnily enough they won't cover the cost at all.

Great experience

Really pleased with the service and support that we have had from Hippo. It is our first time leasing a car, we felt that everything was explained well with no pressure or expectation for us to spend more than we wanted to. Everyone was helpful, particularly Kash.
Ian C delivered our car, he was really friendly kept us informed of eta so that we were prepared for the arrival of the car.
Ian showed us how to use the car, where everything was and supported us with the completion of paperwork.

Five star delivery

I had my lease car delivered today. Everything about the delivery went really well. John let me know exactly when he would arrive, worked promptly through the paperwork, and showed me the controls. He had set off at 0500 for the four hour journey: beyond the call of duty!!
