"SKYDSL" What a sad way to end a business
It is absolutely clear that they "SKYDSL" have given up on delivering any further services! ! ! They have clearly thrown in the towel in the ring! ! ! As they (?) don't whish to compete with "Starlink" ! ! ! I still have a surplus balance of nearly €400,- which i am still waiting to receive back, but however there is absolutely NO further contact possible with this company since they have stopped delivering internet services! There are only two options left contacting a lawyer , and/or mailing to the "revocation skydsl.be" to oficially cancel my membership to get my nearly €400,- refund ! What a sad way to end a business, with absolutely no respect for their costumers. HOW SAD ! (Knowing how much respect i used to have for this company!)

I am a SKYDSL customer (Spain) for almost 10 years and already had issues (bought a new TRIA, they sent me twice old oxidized items and had to fight them).
NO Internet connection since 27 November 2025:
"account suspended": this is a message from VIASAT, SKYDSL is a retailer.
I phoned the technical supporrt and the "hot line ( (numbers for Spain, Belgium, Germany, France) during hours and days: NO REPLY till this date December 19 2025.
I phoned VIASAT USA as VIASAT is the real provider: could not get an explanation.
Looking at the official skyDSL Monitor since 27/11/2025 till now it appears that the bandwidth is perfectly constant, no variation: this is not normal and means that nobody can get a connection.
I sent various email to he technical support, billing department and even to the private address of the CEO Jan Hesse: NO REPLY, NO EXPLANATION.
I finally sent and email in order to cancel my contact on 12/12/2025 and received a replys on 16/12/2025:
"Thank you for your message. We regret to receive your termination and with this message we confirm the end of your contract to the 01/24/2026.":
It means that they will charge again for a non-existent service since 27/11/2025!
These people are crooks.

I ordered with additional pay fee for a 3 days delivery . I never received anything and after more tyan one month they still do not bother about it and said that's on my charge to check with the courier ( that still missing the package). Meantime I already started to oay for tye "service" anf they also now asking me for the modem/receiver fee of 200 euro....

Do not go with this company. They take money illegally from your account for large amounts and then do not refund you. Please read the contract carefully as they take out a large amount for the equipment when you sign up. They say they refund to you after you cancel the contract and return the equipment. However this is not the case. They try to take the money for the equipment again after the cancellation despite having returned the equipment. Once they have authorisation to take money from your account they can basically take what they like and it is difficult to stop them. They do this by taking your card details rather than setting up a direct debit or standing order. They are a nightmare to contact and try to sort out financial issues.

I have been with this company Sky DSL since December 2020. Every year they charged an extortionate fee on top of the monthly tariff. When the weather was bad no service. Every year it got worse. Customer service was a joke. Same rude woman every time. When I cancelled my contract they told me on the phone the hardware which was already second hand would cost €99. Then they sent an email telling me it would be €199. Today they charged my bank nearly €450. I have ordered my money back. They said they would take the €199 from my bank. I agreed to that. Not full whack for a system that was already second hand. They didn't take anything from my bank from the 24 of April when the contract ended until the 1 June. I will be denouncing this company. I've read so many bad reviews about this company just lately. Just wish I'd seen it before I got a contract with them. I've heard they send debt collectors after people who have already paid. I'm keeping all my evidence and have an appointment with my solicitor as well and my bank. I just wish I'd never heard of this company. I'm now with starling and couldn't be happier. What a shame they weren't available in 2020.

I live in a remote area of Spain and contacted Sky DSL for information on Internet provision. I was assured that they could offer a high standard of service which would cover all aspects of home usage. I explained about the devices in use and that we watched UK TV. Not a problem I was told, watch our video see what a great service we provide, and you can install it yourselves as it is very simple. It seemed absolutely ideal, so we ordered the equipment and it came within a few days. It was a lot larger than we had anticipated and very complicated we decided to have a technician install it and Sky DSL recommended a technician from Granada. It took him 6 hours to install!
Once fitted it was apparent that the Internet was not sufficient for our needs Tv buffering and internet very slow, we contacted Sky DSL and received a telephone call to discuss our issues. Apparently after 2 and half days we have used up our data, we should not be watching the TV or using the computer as although we have a decent package it is not designed for such heavy useage. We are just a normal every day family, customer service representative was unbelievably rude, stating that as we were old we should not live in a remote area and that we couldn’t support the equipment. Under the contract which I have never signed we can cancel free of charge within 30 days of activation. But, we will have to dismantle and return to them. This service is not fit for purpose, the company are making claims which are untrue and they need to be made accountable as they are a disgrace, also their customer service woman needs to either be given training on her relationship skills and how to deal with situations in a professional and respectful way.
My advice to anyone thinking of using this company DONT.
Quality not sufficient to work and service is crap
First the quality of the broadband (south Belgium) was extremely unstable. Not sufficient to work remotely. Then, i changed my bankaccount. The procedure to get a domiciliation with them is a real mess so i paid via wiring. As far as they cannot generate a structured communication (i am not kidding), they charge me €5 per payment ...
Is this a pointless review they never answer
had SKYDSL for 2 years and a very poor service during initial installation was charged 1500 euros as a deposit for their equipment which would be refunded once subscription was cancelled, cancelled at end of 2023 and told they would keep charging to feb 2025, asked them when i could expect refund on deposit and was told no refund as equipment was mine. Equipment in garage with no refund found out today they had stolen 570 euros from my account. I have never dealt with a more corrupt useless company in all my years.

Please please do not use this company. Why the Communication watch dog in Germany has not shut them down is beyond me. Paid for a streaming service but rarely got speeds enough to load a web page let alone a movie. Cancelled my contract and I am being treated like a criminal. If they answer your technical Query it's a miracle . If they do they ask you for screen shots of a speed test . And yes the speed test they use is a scam too. Avoid. You would be better off with a 3g mobile internet. Don't sign up .

I am only writing to prevent anybody to subscribe to this service. Not only it really does not work (as delays are incompatible with internet service), installation expenses are outrageous and abusive, customer service is non existent, but also after you decline your service they continue charging you indefinitely for administrative charges, hardware replacement charges, etc. a scam

Truly awful. They provided minimal help on installation. The service barely ever worked. They charged me an outrageous sum for not returning the dish (which would have been even more difficult and expensive). Do not sign up for this

Something I very rarely do is get involved in reviews but yes I would wholeheartedly agree with all of the below but in addition beware if you are thinking of leaving them make sure you have canceled your direct debit before you tell them otherwise you will be charged for the equipment even after two years; terrible people akin to Dick Turpin but as the saying goes he did have the decency to wear a mask I would advise to leave well alone. I have left them around two years ago and I am still livid!!
As a footnote: Several of you have mentioned the100€ cash-back SkyDsl are offering for the return of the skybox I can confirm this is another scam; be advised not to get involved you will not get your 100€ just another ploy to make money there is no way that the equipment could be faulty mine certainly was not, when I had asked. Where is the refund? They simply blocked my email so i am unable to contact them now. Surly this is tantamount to theft and could be followed up by the police?
