Never ever use this scam!!
Never ever use this scam of a site/company. They're thieves. I'm surprised they've not been shut down. I never subscribed to them yet they continuously try to take large amounts from my account. Luckily my bank keeps blocking them. Absolute thieves. Avoid at all costs!!!

Wishing I had seen the hundreds of scam…
Wishing I had seen the hundreds of scam reports here before I bought the £1 access to change the font in a pdf I made 20 years ago. A week later and they've been trying to debit me $49.99 daily, despite the fact I didn't agree to anything other than the single use I signed up for. I've had to freeze my card to avoid being charged. I'm honestly surprised at just how tenacious this scam company are.
SCAM
This company is nothing but a scam. They offer a "one-off" pdf compress for €1.00 but hidden away deep in their terms and conditions is that you are also signing up for a subscription service and, a week later, they hit you with a €49.99 charge. The people behind this company are pure scum, but karma will catch up with them.

SCAM!
As over 400 others have reported on Trustpilot, this is nothing but a scam. You think you're paying a one-of charge of €1.00, then a week later they hit you with a €49.99 subscription charge. Why credit card companies continue to provide Visa and Mastercard services to this company is a mystery.
**SCAM ALERT**
**SCAM ALERT**
I used this website to convert multiple PDFs into one single PDF. I paid a small fee of (I think) £1.99. I didn't get my documents, but I couldn't really be bothered with kicking up a fuss over a couple of quid.
Fast-forward a couple of weeks, and I get an alert from my bank saying that the company has tried to take almost £50 out of my account! I usually pride myself on being able to spot scams like this, but I guess I was having an off-day.
Don't make the same stupid mistake that I did. Don't give any money to these con-artists.
Scam / Do not buy this
Scam, do not use this website for your pdf needs
Just to add my voice to the chorus
Just to add my voice to the chorus - this is a scam. Do not touch this with a bargepole. I’m now faced with hours on the phone trying to sort this out. Hidden subscription may be illegal in the UK but the company is American and the rules may be different.
Avoid like the plague. This company is laughing at its customers.
I thought I had paid a one off £1.99 payment to this company which appears to operate under two names Ultra PDF and Smart PDF. A week later £49.99 was taken from my credit card without my authorisation for a monthly contract to which I had not signed up ! This is theft as far as I am concerned and I am going to close my credit card account to make sure that no more payments are taken. Why do the banks authorise the payments when there is all of this information about the companies activities? I am notifying Action for Fraud.
UPDATE
Further to my previous review having been scammed out of £49.99 and told I had agreed to a monthly contract which I most certainly had not, I contacted the company and was told I had to cancel online on the accounts page. I have tried several times and there is clearly no option to cancel the contract. So I have told the company 3 times in an e mail that I wish to cancel and they say I have to do it online. Which I cannot. In UK consumer law I am allowed to cancel and have a full refund within 14 days but this company clearly want to make this as difficult as possible. The law requires that I notify the company that I wish to cancel in writing not that I have to tick a box online. This is clearly how the company is seeking to manipulate customers who did not authorise the contract to maximise profit. It defies belief.
FURTHER UPDATE - I have finally found out where to cancel the account online. It is well hidden and even when you find it there is a pop up which is designed to confuse. I sent several e mails requesting help as to how to cancel in the account and they were ignored.
As I have now found the well secreted cancellation in the account within 14 days I will be refunded. The company make cancellation of a service which the customer did not request in the first place very difficult in order to maximise profits. I think it is called sharp practice. This company is laughing at its customers.
Scam and misleading subscription…
Scam and misleading subscription practice
I used PDFSmart for what I believed was a one-time PDF conversion. I never knowingly subscribed to any monthly plan.
After entering my card details, my card was later charged 550 SEK without my explicit consent. I was never clearly informed that a recurring subscription would be activated, nor did I authorize it.
I later discovered that PDFSmart and UltraPDF appear to operate under the same scheme, using confusing trial offers to enroll users into expensive subscriptions.
This is a misleading and unethical business practice. I have reported the matter to my bank and the police and requested a chargeback.
I strongly advise others to avoid these services and never enter card details on their websites.
Just like other reviewers
Just like other reviewers, I was scammed by this company. I paid £1 and a week later was charged £49.99 which I had never authorised or wanted. After a long conversation with my bank (Barclays) they stopped my card and refunded me both payments. I now have a new card and will never go near this website again. It made the run up to Christmas more stressful than it needed to be.
Scam company
Paid for a single use product, got charged for a recurring subscription I never signed up for. Have reported to my bank. DO NOT use this company.
Total scam
Total scam. Taking money from my account without consent. No way of contacting them to cancel. I want my money back you robbing scroats. My bank will decline any more attempts to take money by this scammer.

Got a Christmas gift when i saw that I was charged £49.99 with the description Ultra Pdf. I have never signed up for Ultra Pdf, I looked into my emails and realized that I paid for a day subscription which was £1.99 from Smart Pdf. There are no laws in UK or an agency where you can report these crimes. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE YOU CARD DETAILS TO THESE FRAUDS

Avoid avoid avoid!
A scam as so many others have found. Being in a hurry to convert a pdf to a png picture, I used their services ostensibly for a charge of about £1. Then a week later they tried to charge me a subscription of £49.99. Fortunately Barclays blocked the payment and froze my debit card. Don’t go anywhere near these fraudsters.
