DHL delivery people denied the for paid service
I got a delivery for LG washer-dryer via DHL. The item was really heavy as expected. I had paid for usage location delivery and installation. Two delivery person from DHL delivered the item but denied the installation although they had all the tools with them.
Later on complaining to LG, DHL replied that the customer did not want the installation.
Terrible experience. No accountability from DHL.
Honestly, don't use DHL
Honestly, worst customer service ever. I wrote them 2 emails a day, 6 days in a row. Got an answer to 2, the ones that I translated to German, while gmails literally have an auto-translation.. I don't think it's much of a trouble to answer when I write in English. I'm writing this on day 6 of waiting for a reasonable answer from them, since the answers I got on my emails don't give me any information at all.
No customer service in Portugal.
I thought DHL was a reputable company but how they operate in Portugal is terrible.
They have lost my parcel but simply ignore my messages and complaints.
Total chaos and zero accountability
I sent a parcel on January 13th to Bulgaria. I was later informed it was “returned” because the recipient was supposedly not reachable — even though no one called, no one sent an SMS, and no one visited the address. This is the second time DHL has done something this absurd.
My parcel has been missing for 20 days. The tracking system doesn’t work, the last update is from 10 days ago. The branch where I sent it has no information at all. I received a no‑reply email saying the parcel was being returned to me — a week later, it still hasn’t arrived and nobody knows where it is.
The contact form is buried behind endless FAQ pages, and real customer support is nonexistent. For a company of this size, this is unacceptable.
If I could, I would give 0 stars.
Terrible International Delivery Experience – No Notice, No Package
I’m deeply disappointed with DHL’s service. A package I was expecting from Germany never arrived, and I wasn’t even notified that a delivery had been attempted. There was no note, no call, no email—nothing.
When I finally investigated, I learned their local delivery partner had decided to return the item, claiming “missing delivery information.” This is simply untrue—the shipping label included my full, correct address, clearly printed and complete.
DHL showed zero initiative in resolving this. No follow-up, no accountability, and no effort to ensure the package reached me despite having all necessary details. It’s unacceptable for a global courier to operate with such negligence and poor communication.
If you’re counting on your shipment actually arriving—or at least getting a heads-up if there’s an issue—think twice before choosing DHL.
Extremely incompetent, racist, xenophobic and nationalistic
Extremely incompetent, racist, xenophobic, nationalistic company. The website pretends to have an english option but immediately reverts back to german. Impossible to contact customer service unless you speak fluent german. Always fumbles and fails to deliver packages. These are their core values. Someone should sue them. We should all boycott DHL.
Great service
I only have the best to say about DHL. Always on time, and responsible regarding the delivery of the package to the door as supposed. I have also tried them for an international delivery, and their were super fast.
DHL picked up a DHL Express parcel
DHL picked up a DHL Express parcel. DHL says they cannot track the parcel and refuse to contact DHL which they say is a separate company. Of course we still have to pay the expensive pick-up (which never happened or they showed up super late) and the parcel worth 5000 Euros is lost.

One star is far too positiv. It should be a minus star. Our parcel is sitting at the airport in Frankfurt now for 16 days and it is not being moved. DHL ist the worst we have experienced in parcel service.
Utterly nonsense delivery company - A nightmare
Utterly nonsense delivery company . It hasnt just happened one time, but they never cant make their delivery to my address ! For every delivery i scheduled i was waiting at home , they never rang the bell , and said the delivery attempt was unsuccessful? That’s so ridiculous! I had to bring a fridge from a pick up point , when i dont even have a car myself! complained several times .It was pure harassment ! But none helped ! Their customer service is the most rubbish in the country. They should just give up ! I freak out when i see DHL is going to deliver my packages!

Simillar as another review here, my package was supposed to be delivered today, so I was waiting for it, and using the live track, showing it still didn’t start it’s way towards me. Only to get a notification saying the courrier couldn’t deliver the package because I was not at home, but I was waiting for it. I didn’t hear anyone drive up, didn’t get any notifications at all, no note left, no phone call, nothing. I am waiting for a medication and now I have to go pick it up, but I can not move from an injury. Why did I pay for the delivery if in the end I have to pick it up myself again?

My parcel contained 3 individual packs with 2 sets of glasses in each
These 3 boxes had bubble wrap around each individual box within the outer box
The main box was very well packaged with a lot of protection
The box left JL in perfect condition and on receipt to my door the box looked like it had been on a trip around the World
The very first set of 2 glasses I picked up from the box was light and these glasses are a very thick Crystal yet they were broken to smithereens
I left the box of glasses in tact as not to cause injury to myself
I had no protective gloves that would have protected me against slicing my hands
The box looked worse for wear and it’s either been thrown about or something very heavy has been on top of it

I had a very frustrating experience with DHL due to a lack of accommodation for non-German speakers.
An Amazon parcel addressed to me was delivered to a DHL Packstation without clear explanation. I am not registered with DHL and did not receive a pickup code. Only afterward did I learn that accessing a Packstation requires prior registration, a Postnummer, identity verification, and use of the Post & DHL app, none of which was clearly communicated in English.
As a non-German speaker, I found the process extremely confusing. Instructions and notifications were either unclear or available only in German, and there was no warning that I would be unable to collect my parcel without completing multiple prerequisite steps. This resulted in unnecessary stress, wasted time, and the likely return of my package.
Germany is home to many international residents, and DHL is a global logistics company. I really wish DHL accommodated customers in English more clearly, especially for systems like Packstations that are not intuitive and require advance registration.
DHL delivery was disappointing
Really disappointed with DHL’s service. I requested delivery to my home address, but they put my package in a Packstation instead—without properly delivering it. What makes it worse is that this isn’t the first time. I’ve been at home and available, yet they still keep doing the same thing and redirecting my parcels as if no one’s there. It feels lazy and incredibly inconvenient. If I wanted to pick it up myself, I wouldn’t choose home delivery in the first place.
DHL has lost my package and refuse any action
My package was given to DHL on 6/7 January 2026, and as of 20th January no action has been taken to ship the parcel.
I have tried to get some attention from DHL but they refuse to take any action because apparently I have contacted the wrong helpdesk. I have written to the CEO, but he has ignored me for 4 days.
I will be contacting my credit card to get the money back, and will not now use any shop which sends packages via DHL.

so basically my package was supposed to be delivered on monday, january 19. i was waiting for it, and at 8:28 am i got a notification saying the courier couldn’t deliver it because i was NOT at home?? but i WAS at home. i didn’t get any notifications at all, no note left, no phone call, even though my number is attached. and in the end they immediately sent it back to the sender?? what the heck is this, why did they send it back right away without even trying to send it to a pickup point, i would have picked it up because i DESPERATELY needed the item i ordered. i DONT LIKE this postal service, it’s absolute nonsense and garbage
