They deny responsibility to clearly mark their own zone code correctly
This company does not bother to make their zone codes clearly visible. There is one zone code at the entrance of the parking, but it does not match the zone code for the rest of the parking. When you pay the parking using the code visibly shown at the entrance of the parking, which also happens to match the code shown in the app via GPS, they say "It is the driver’s responsibility to ensure that the correct information — such as the area or zone code — is entered on the ticket or permit for the relevant parking occasion.". Interestingly, they seem to understand that they do not have any responsibility to ensure that their code is clearly marked at the correct location.

There is no way to pay for ticket by card, or get updates about successful payment. Everything is via email and SWIFT bank transfers. Hope Sweden National Parks will switch from services of that company to some better alternatives.

I had a very disappointing experience with SmartPark. What looks like a parking management system is in reality more of a money-making scheme. The rules are unclear, and it feels deliberately set up to trap people and issue fines.
In my case, I parked just outside of a marked zone where cars with caravans were allowed. The lines were very clear, and it was obvious I was outside this area. However, SmartPark still claimed that I was parked within the zone. I filed a complaint, but their only response was that I could take the case to District Court. Realistically, who is going to take legal action over a fine of 600 SEK? Of course, I had no choice but to pay this baseless 'fine'...
This feels like legalized extortion — an unfair system where ordinary people are forced to pay for questionable claims. Truly unacceptable.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received. The experience was unacceptable, and the fines issued were completely unreasonable. The lack of accountability and basic customer care is shocking. I genuinely feel sorry for the people who have to work in such a poorly managed environment. It’s unfortunate that companies like this are allowed to operate in Sweden. I wish I could give zero stars, this has been one of the worst service experiences I have ever encountered. I cannot recommend them to anyone!
Fraudulent extortion!
They gave me a SEK1100 ticket for parking in a EV charging bay. I had a valid parking ticket, my EV was plugged in. Because the charger was defective & did not start they gave me a ticket. Customer support were totally useless, saying that it was my fault that the charger could not work, so they could not cancel the ticket. How am I going to take revenge?

Have had parking in garage for over 3 years now and smart park took over by 1 April.
The invoice for April is paid to the last owner and they did not issue any parking permits..
When reaching out to smart park for continued parking they asked me to fill out from witch date, of course I chose 1 maj because I already paid to the other company..
2 tickets and a varning during April, for when I received the warning I called them up.. everything looks good they said.
Apparently it should have been 1 April in the app, but how would I know and why did they not tell me ???
If they will not cancel the tickets I will take this further..

The car park at Soderasen National park…
The car park at Soderasen National park is free and managed by the above. So how do they make money? They set a legal parking trap and day after day unsuspecting motorhomes users get fined. All legal and absolutely despicable. They’ve ’raked in’ thousands. They could stop it with a simple ‘no motorhomes’ sign. But why should they?

The parking is a money making machine, got fined for standing with a small campervan, there was a small sign that obviously Almost nobody sees , because the place was filled with campers, you would think its okay but you can only park with class 1 vehicle, they should make it more clear for everyone instead of just 1 sign you Almost dont see and dont expect that its forbiddden there for campers etc, but now they make a lot of money with the fines every hour so they probably wont make it clearder, if i read all the reviews here , they dont care for a bad review
Facist Scam artists

To prove i had paid i went into the app to screenshot the one i had paid for and was keeping a close eye on because I know these facist swine are hiding around a corner waiting for their chance to get material for their spankbank when they go home and it was gone. Whoever works at these companies is a horrible person through and through and should be put in jail or worse.

What can I add to all the previous comments... Worst company ever. 1* is generous.
I paid the parking fee with the app as an employee (special code). The parking permit was in the front of the car, but SmartPark claims that it was not visible... Of course, you don't see what you don't want to see. But worst, SmartPark claims that I have not paid! I send the ticket in the dispute. I was just ignored. Standard answer and a "threat", I must pay immediately or I will get into problems. I will never again park at Smart Park. Enjoy your "fabricated fine". If we all do this at much as possible, Smart park may reconsider its "aggressive" fine police.

Disgrace
This company is a disgrace. I live in Helsingborg, Sweden. You know who I am. I have had a parking place for over 20 years all of a sudden I get a parking ticket (twice within 12 hours) from this BS company. I have NEVER received any P-permit from the owner of the parking lot that I've hired. All of a sudden this company Smart-Park shows up and start putting tickets on peoples cars. A new company apparently that has been hired by Helsingborgshem recently(not to talk about the reluctance from Josefine at Helsingborgshem to show some friendliness). Ignorant woman and ignorant people and has no willingness to help me at all. They know they are at the wrong end of it, but don't want to admit. And this company, Smart-Ass, are also wrong about this and are threatening to force this case to the court if I don't pay they two tickets. Maffia company. They didnt even read my case and most likely just sent me a standard reply. The deal is, I have permittance to have my car there and have had for 20 years, before there was no sign saying you need to have a parking permit in the car, this is new. And I have never been given a parking permit by the company. I even sent them my contract showing that I am the holder of the parking permit.
Funny part of this story is,, you can see that the signs are new and it says, you need a permit to stand there(didn't say anything about a parking permit before). My contract that I sent to them as proof is and has been my permit.

The worst and most incompetent parking…
The worst and most incompetent parking agency ever! Its one of the only times in Sweden I felt that they were so non-Swedish in their way of thinking. I've had two bad experiences with them within a period of 2 years.
Yesterday, someone parked on the spot allocated to me in the apartment. I called them up to inform of the situation. Most likely they did not come on time and did not fine the offender, but found a way to fine me instead.
I hope either our parking agency is changed or I move to somewhere better.
(Well, don't you see that you have an overall score of just 1 star by about 200 people in total? There must be something wrong you are doing with your management. Basically, you are using rules and no situation analysis to maximize your profit at the cost of your customers.)

The real wolves of Söderåsen National Park!
Here's a copy of the email I sent to Smart Parkering Sverige AB regarding the ticket I received at Söderåsen National Park whilst on holiday in Sweden in August. I was told I still had to pay the fine.
Smart Parkering Sverige AB just seem like one of those impersonal, private parking companies (we have them in the UK too) that make a point of saying that they are simply upholding the rules and regulations. But actually they are responsible for those rules and regulations as well as their practical application. The way Smart Parkering Sverige AB goes about that seems, to me at least, less than transparent and designed to catch out as many unsuspecting drivers as possible, with the ultimate aim of 'milking a cash cow'!!
From email dated 04/09/23:
With regard the fine itself. I do see (from your operative's photograph that there is indication of a prohibitive parking notification at the site). But this is the only sign in a car park that has spaces for what must be upwards of a hundred vehicles. It is situated on a post right by the entrance, next to a post box and underneath a large 'P' sign. Coming from the direction of Röstånga, as I was, it is easily missed in crossing lanes on a fast stretch of road to turn into the car park. I genuinely did not see it as I turned into the car park.
As I said in my appeal: on a previous visit I asked at the Park Office where I could park a vehicle overnight in order to be able to camp and was told it was fine to do so at the far end of the car park. So, on this recent visit I drove straight down to the end bays, which are approximately 300 metres away from your single signage covering the entire car park. Here I believed it was possible to park overnight.
However, I did still look around that area and the other parking areas and saw no notification informing me that the car park had restrictions. Let me point out that in the UK in a car park that size there would be at least two, probably three metered pay points, with machines and signs above saying either, 'PAY HERE' or 'PAY POINT'.
Your operative on the phone this morning said it was my responsibility to check to see if there were parking restrictions in place. That is reasonable. But I would counter that is also Smart Parkering Sverige AB's responsibility to ensure that visitors are helpfully made aware that they have a liability to pay for their parking. The truth is that at this site there is:
One sign.
No pay machine.
Information is only in Swedish (for a popular National Park car park that has a high percentage of international visitors).
No mobile reception (at least not on my network) to "Google translate" it.
I later visited Ales Stenar on the same trip, where I believe you are also operating. Here, in a car park that is comparable, if not slightly smaller than at Söderåsen there is multiple signage and two unmissable pay machines. Yet, despite this, I had a bemused fellow tourist come up to me asking whether the car park was free!
My point being, that I parked the vehicle at Söderåsen in 'good faith', believing that it was ok to do so without having to pay for parking. I am sincerely hoping that in 'good faith' Smart Parkering Sverige AB can see the human error in this and make a decision based on human considerations rather than the impersonal assumption of a photograph.

This company seems very very fishy
This company seems very very fishy. We parked at Parkeringsplats Kullaberg today.
There are no ticket vending machines, no signs with the full name of the company and that they offer parking services, there’s no hint at an app or website and certainly no sign that says „you need to pay to park here!“
When we got ready to leave, there was a very shady looking guy taking pictures of the INSIDES of people’s camping vans and motor homes. Through the windscreen, full on pictures of people’s private lives. He cross crossed the whole parking lot taking random pictures of random vehicles.
Since he seemed very untrustworthy to us we kept an eye on him and THEN was the first time we noticed he had a jacket that said „smart Park“ on it.
And that was the point where we realised we were probably tricked into parking without purchasing a ticket so we can get fined a higher amount of money.
I do not recommend this company at all! They seem very shady and their goal seems to be to trick unsuspecting people (non Swedish speaking) into getting a fine.
When we left we noticed a very very small sign that read „smart p ab“. This does not mean anything to non Swedish people. If you don’t already know what it means you stand no chance and will probably be finded.
A thorough google search finally took me to trustpilot and there I saw several people complaining about being tricked by this company.
This is plain trickery and false information so people will notice nothing and can be fined. Be very careful people and watch out for „smart p ab“ signs that look like they’re nothing important!!

Bad parking company
The company Smart Parking Sverige were just rude and take money out of your pocket. I was parked in a designated parking space and I still got a ticket for 800 kr, which is a really outrageous cost. The service is not good either. The telephone hotline only forwards in Swedish, which is really a hindrance for holidaymakers. Be really careful with this company.
