Not fit for purpose!
Needed to contact Coop bank to notify them of my mother's passing and to close her account. Called the 'customer service' number and was told wait time of 60 minutes plus. Tried twice same response.
NOT customer service!!
Nearest branch about 40 miles away. No other way of making contact.
Totally useless. Why would anyone bank here??

Missold a cask! Paid for 300l, got a 225l.....
Being relatively new to the world of whiskey/whisky, I did some research and ended up buying some casks with this company.
Made some purchases, fine. Then another cask was dangled. So I purchased that one back in early November 2022. It was sold to me as a 300 litre cask at a particular price. Got the invoice, paid, etc etc.
Then some time afterwards they told me it wasn't actually a 300 litre cask, it was a 225 litre cask!
Ofcourse there would be a partial discount but I wasn't happy with the amount. They said the distillery had decided that. Have no idea where the fault lay, of course never will.
Anyway, the point is, we are now mid June and I STILL haven't received the partial refund. No word of it since November!! Not had a single call or mail related to this matter either! In this or any day and age, unacceptable!!
But particularly as a new customer I am astonished that this has been ignored for so long......I actually want a full refund now on that cask asap due to breach of contract or Trading Standards will be knocking on their door.....they've had nearly 8 months after all......
UPDATE; As of several days later still no word on where the refund is!
FURTHER UPDATE; Received full refund 17 July 2023.

PLEASE! BEFORE YOU ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY READ THIS.........
I ordered 5 or so cards from this company 2 weeks ago for my upcoming 20th Wedding Anniversary and a nephew's 21st Birthday in Australia. Heard nothing from them a week later, so I got in touch.
Their response is below, so since it was their fault and over a week had passed since I ordered, they would not do the decent thing and forward the order anyway as time is running out for me.
I must say, appalling customer service, a company not fit for purpose and no thought for the need of the customers, i.e. getting them the cards they ordered and paid for!!!

I’ve had a look at this for you, and it looks like payment was taken for the order, but due to a technical error, the order was not placed on our end, which is why this is not showing under your orders page.
I’m so sorry for the confusion caused here- I have passed this on to our Tech Team to investigate what caused this to happen, as this is really odd.
The unsuccessful payment could still show up on your bank statement in the payment pending section; if this were to move from the pending section to the regular statement please do let us know and we will investigate the situation.

NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE.
Was asked out of the blue to download this app apparently at the behest of my solicitor because we are selling our house. I jumped through financial and identity hoops when we bought the house and I am still the same person as far as I know, so find all this a bit of a waste of time. Not entirely sure what they are trying to achieve.
Anyway, did what I was asked, downloaded app and started jumping through the hoops. Got to the bit where you need to scan the passport picture page....tried about 20 times in different lighting conditions and got absolutely nowhere. 'Out of focus', 'remove fingers from picture'..(were not in picture), 'too much white background'...(there was none), 'reduce glare'...the picture page just happens to be a very shiny page for some unfathomable reason, which doesn't help....and so it went on. Couldn't do it. Contacted the helpline. Reload app. Did that. Didn't make any difference. Kept getting texts every day reminding me I hadn't finished the process! Really??
Ridiculous. Not fit for purpose imho.
My wife hasn't been asked to do it and her name is on the deeds also.....??!
