Additional fee not clear or expected…

I was unaware of the additional amount taken by Just Giving. I donated £50 but my card debited £8.50. I was not aware of this additional amount although your website says it is optional I did not see anything detailing that. Just disappointed as I have never had this charge on any other charitable donation. I am unlikely to support any charity using this company.

Hi Pam,

Thank you for your feedback - we understand your disappointment.

To clarify, the additional amount you saw was likely due to our optional tip feature, which helps support the running of the JustGiving platform. This tip is not mandatory and can be adjusted to zero during the donation process. However, we’re actively working to improve transparency so donors feel confident and informed every step of the way.

We truly appreciate your support of charitable causes and regret that this experience has led to frustration. If you’d like to review your donation or request a refund of the tip, our support team is here to help via [email protected].

Thank you again for your feedback - it helps us improve.

Review of Gtech

Faulty Gtech Replaced Immediately

I ordered the bundle with the hand held. The first Gtech made a really loud noise, sounding as if there was something caught inside. I had no idea of this level of noise was normal. I phoned, the customer service lady listened, passed the phone to a colleague and they both agreed that there may be something wrong. The machine was then replaced immediately.
I love the ease of use, and the quickness. It was bought as a secondary to my Dyson, but that has remained in the cupboard since receiving the Gtech.
Still getting used to the hand held. Tried it in the car but found it a little difficult to manoeuvre. However it seems very efficient. I need to work out which attachment works best in each situation. Then I am sure I will love it. I also have a hand held Dyson (we have two homes, so lots of vacuums), which may be slightly more powerful but I do use that for the floors. Once I get used to the benefits of using the Gtech handheld I am sure it will be fine. My only criticism would be that I could have done with more instructions on the best uses for each attachment.

Review of TrustedHousesitters

Little Ruby's new best friends

I heard about Trusted Housesitters from a friend. I was having trouble finding someone to look after little Ruby our Mini Schnauzer. She had to take loads of pills as she was having trouble losing her claws and her feet were sometimes sore. I looked at kennels but couldn't bear the thought of her in a concrete cage! Although I was a bit dubious about the whole idea of a Housesitter we joined and advertised. I had 51 replies. I was staggered with the variety of potential sitters from all over the world. We shortlisted and narrowed our search to two lovely couples. They both came to visit our flat in Greenwich. We liked them both equally but in the end Ruby chose a lovely young Scottish couple by sitting between them and putting her head on Ally's knee. We had a lovely stress free holiday and Ruby had loads of walks, all her pills, and a happy holiday too.
A great success all round and I will certainly use this great service again.
