AVOID.

AVOID.

First they overcharged me so I cancelled the order - then they refunded the overcharge and refused to cancel the order since it had already shipped - it took a week to get confirmation of shipping - which of course is rubbish anyway. A month later, it has not arrived of course. I am thinking of going over just to get a pound of flesh. I don't like thieves.

Review of DPD UK

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

This is a difficult review. Good AND bad.

This is a difficult review.
Mostly, DPD are great. Reliable organised good app.
But the real test is not just the front line core service… it’s how they handle their failures.
Front line core service is five star.
The few times I have had problems (deliveries sent to different properties or not at all etc) customer service is about as useful as a used toilet roll when you have a cold and all the shops are shut.
Just awful, unreachable, unhelpful, script reading automatons.
So you take your chances with this outfit.

O.M.G..!

O.M.G..!
What a breath of fresh air these guys are.
I am only semi tech competent , migrating stuff and CP panels make me feel dyslexic! Too much pain.
Needed to find a new host and email service - great price point. Asked for help John T steps up. Give me the log in to the old system and I will migrate it over.
It’s what customer service is all about. It is the Valhalla of hosting.
Just brilliant.
And I have asked a lot of places. Shopped around and offered to pay for this kind of Personal Assistance help.
And here it is on offer!!
O.M.G!!

Hello Mark.

Thank you for the very good review. This is the type of service we focus on, we are maybe not the cheapest provider (with no support) or the most expensive with lots of advanced features but we try to fill a void for customers who are maybe not fully tech competent and try to provide as much of this server for you as we can.

Again Mark, thanks for taking the time to provide this feedback.

Beyond forgiveness.

Ordinarily - I am forgiving of managing agents if there is a mistake or two - it is a relatively thankless task at the best of times.
But they have excelled at failing. Issuing dodgy s.20 notices, claiming defects exist with no evidence, taking two years to issue repairs so costs have escalated over 300%. Avoidable. Actionable. Awful.

Dear Mark,

We are very sorry you felt the need to provide such a reply, given the interaction and updating we have provided leaseholders in trying to deal with the issues at this development.

We always value constructive feedback; however, in this case, the review is one-sided and factually incorrect.

For clarity, the facts are as follows: the original specification for the works changed significantly due to updates in fire regulations. In response, we have conducted extensive consultations with all leaseholders, including direct engagement with you regarding these changes. As a result, we need to now reissue the Section 20 notices with revised pricing to ensure transparency. This approach safeguards all parties involved and allows the project to proceed at the most appropriate cost, following an open and competitive tendering process. Notably, many of the contractors involved were suggested by leaseholders themselves.

Regarding your mention of a 300% increase, we are not aware of such a figure, as we have not yet issued the amended Section 20 notice of estimates or the report following the recent changes.

To provide further clarity, the anticipated cost increase is primarily due to the necessary transition from a timber decking system to a fire-retardant metal construction for the new frame and covering. Additionally, we have included a provisional sum for possible repairs to the existing flat roof to prevent potential leaks affecting the commercial unit below.
We remain committed to an open and fair process and welcome any further discussions to address your concerns.

Review of DigitalLicense

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Always tricky using a licence validator…

I purchased a digital licence last July. This January it deactivated and the company has gone.

So I am repeating the process. It’s cheaper this time. And time will tell if the license is legit. But so far so good.
The software is activated by a downloaded programme. So we don’t know what it says or is approved at Microsoft. But I’ll turn the other cheek.
I researched this outfit and reviews were good. Scam checks were good. No red flags.
Meanwhile the software and instructions were instantly provided and worked flawlessly.

Can't complain is not the same as recommend

I ordered a salmon oil supplement.

It was the best price, the seller had good reviews.

The process was easy and trouble free, delivery was only a few days. Everything as one hoped it would be.

I find I can only recommend people that are good at fixing mistakes. They made no mistake to fix - but don't let that hold you back.
