Etho's totally equal gift-giving generosity levels (ft. Tango, Impulse, and Skizz)
Clip 1
[A barrel left at Tango's base with a sign that reads: Not sure if you need them for anything, but just in case. -Etho]
Tango: "Wait. No, that's something else. 'Not sure if you need them for anything, but just in case.'"
[The barrel has all slots filled with twenty-seven stacks of froglights.]
Tango: "Whoa-oaa! Yeah! Wow! Etho been busy! Yeah, bottom of the ramp it sounds like there's something down there. That's awesome, Etho! Okay. He's getting another box of gunpowder."
Clip 2
[Tango checking out his full barrel of froglights]
Tango: "Did you see the present Etho left me?"
Impulse: "Yes."
Tango: "It's the greatest present of all presents."
Impulse: "He left me a present too but it was only like a stack of each. He left you a whole chest."
Tango: "Well, th-that's cus I gave him – I've already given him, like, a ton of redstone, a ton of gunpowder..."
Impulse: "Yeah, yeah, yeah. You – you've been more kind to him than I have."
Tango: "Yeah."
Clip 3
Skizz: "Look what Etho left me!"
[The chest has three slots of froglights.]
Tango: "I know! He left me, like...some, too. I was so happy."
Skizz: "How much."
Tango: "About that much."
Skizz: "Okay. [laughs] I just want to make sure it's fair."
[Tango takes a pointed, wide-eyed sip of his drink.]
Tango: "Mhm. Yeah."
tango: im starting my biggest project ever decked out 3
impulse: ive already beat the wither and have dug out a massive circular quarry
skizz: ive got big plans to top my last season with more psychology themes
zedaph:
The organization of the Southlands in this season cracks me up because it’s like three redstone supergeniuses—one of whom created an automated storage system that’s still in use today, another who’s the server’s resident supervillain, and another who is the architect of Decked Out 3—and then there’s Skizz,
Skizz is their court-mandated Psychologist
Not wrong!
Tango: I'm gonna spend all season on the newest iteration of a massive game undertaking where I'll be building a huge haunted biome full of stuff designed to murder my friends!
Impulse: Y'all remember the show about people being miserable in a hole in the ground? What if I did that conveying my failure to save my fictional city from last season? What about that?
Skizz: WE'RE GONNA HEAD FOR THE MARIANA TRENCH OF OUR SUBCONCIOUS AND FIGHT GOD AND ALSO COPYRIGHT FLAGS
Me: ARE ANY OF YOU OKAY?!
sassyshoulderangel319 asked:

I never seem to come up with the next part of this AU until the previous installment is completed. Huh. Anyway. Could I have split this into two parts? Sure. But I didn’t really want to. So you get an extra long installment to make up for how long it’s been since the last one <3

Jimmy hefted his backpack up onto his back, carefully positioning it between his wings so he could still fly. “Alright. I’ll be back in three days. Be good for Tango, sweet pea, okay?” He crouched and brushed some of Skye’s hair out of her face. Her lower lip quivered in her pout.
“Do you have to go?”
“Sweetheart, it’s just a couple days. You and Tango will have so much fun—you won’t even notice I’m gone. I’ll be back before you know it!” He leaned forward and kissed her hairline.
She threw her arms around his neck and held him close, burying her face into the fabric of his shirt. He wrapped his arms around her, careful to avoid her wings, and rested his cheek against the side of her head, eyelids fluttering almost closed.
The SoulBond between him and Tango warmed up from where Tango was standing just behind Skye. Do you have to go? Tango’s thoughts repeated in Jimmy’s head.
Jimmy looked up from Skye’s hair to meet Tango’s eyes, an amused but melancholic smile on his face. It’s just three days, Tango, he thought back. Three days isn’t many. His tone was gentle and reassuring. It’s just me, Grian, and Pearl going to the city to get supplies we can’t get here. Your Blaze Rods aren’t as fast as wings and Skye’s too young to fly for that long. It’s just better and faster if you two stay on the Ranch to look after the animals and I go with Grian and Pearl.
I know. I just… are you sure I can do this? Three days of taking care of Skye without you? I… what if I do bad? Tango fidgeted.
You won’t. She loves you. And you’re a much better parent than you give yourself credit for. You know all the routines and you’ve done them on your own plenty of times. Jimmy reached out a hand. Tango took it and let Jimmy pull him into the hug so they sandwiched Skye between them. Tango was careful not to crush her wings. Her feathers were fairly sturdy, but it was always better to be careful.
What if I make a mistake?
So long as no one ends up in the morgue, I think you’ll be fine. Just try not to end up in the hospital either.
Not funny, Tango thought flatly.
Jimmy just smiled cheekily.
Jimmy… I don’t think I can do this alone.
