I agree! I think it may be one of my favourite books. Recently got the illustrated version and am hoping to experience it all over again. PATRICK NESS IS A GENIUS.
This is exactly what I wanted to comment on Goodreads after I've finished this book. This is one of the very few books that made me cry after days I've read this book. I can guarantee future readers that even if it doesn't make you cry it wiil definitely stay with you for a loooong time:) I just wish I could watch the movie version as soon as possible!
I think it is really good story, too. Especially I liked the part that Conor yelled at the cliff in the dream. He yelled he couldn't tell this truth. I thought he was really painful because he thought when he told the truth, his mother would die. I was really impressive. And I could feel sympathy. Do you have any part of this book that you liked most?
I cried a lot after I read this book. It has so many important things in our lives. Every people has their own monster and so do I. It is not that beautiful fairy tale, but each elements of this book make it beautiful. Every characters are so charming and illustrations are really fascinating. I agree that it wiil stay with me long after I've read it.
When I first see this book, I thought it is just Fantasy novel. But now I think this is the book effect on my life most. While reading Conor struggling with people I was immerced in Conor's emothion and tried to how to solve the problem. And even now I read it, still I think What is my monster exatlly and If I find it, I want to develope my life with the Monster
Actually, when I read this book at first, I couldn't understand fully about the whole content of this book. But when I read last part of this book after, thanks to the monster's explanation, I could understand exactly. It was really impressed tale, and the best tale for me. While I read this book, I could be immersed in Conor’s situation. I’ll read this book one more. Maybe I can’t forget this book’s content forever.
I think so to. This book was such a nice, meaningful and touching one. I started reading it because of our school reading project. So, when I began reading, reading this book just felt like a burdensome to me, However, now that I finished reading this book, I felt totally different. It was such a awesome book.
I am not okay after this book!!! I read the book and immediately afterwards watched the movie... in shrt I gt broken twice (from the movie and the book) :()
