I have been business banking with Mettle since I set up my company and they have been great,it is so much easier with them,when I had a problem with my account they were able to give support and immediately sorted out the issue,I would recommend them to any of my friends and acquaintances who are looking for a reliable bank with great service
Excellent customer service. When my card was cloned they worked fast to ensure it was blocked and a new card was sent, almost before I was aware of the issue! The small amount that was taken, was repaid next day. Thank you.

Seems easy and usable.
After 12months of use.
They attempt to close and account with a turnover of >£200k. They appoloies and leave it open (took the accountant my side to stop them).
Then 3 months later they cancel the debit card.
No response in the app - they dont speak with you on the phone (applications they do, but not acutal customers).
Long queues and pointless email responses as though they havent read the email sent to them.
The app is just a useless chat bot.

Avoid this company at all costs. We have had thousands of pounds stolen from our account and Mettle have no contact number for a fraud team and the phone line they do have is only open set hours and no one EVER answers it. They have a chat line that an AI bot is on and can not help in any way. This occurred Friday and we have still not heard back from the company - we have emailed their chat line and emailed the support email address several times, with no response. Since then, we have also had a further 3 attempts to remove additional thousands from our bank account. Fortunately, we had moved the remaining funds to a proper bank account with real people you can contact and emergency fraud phone numbers. If you want your money to be safe - DO NOT use this comedy bank service!!!
As I seen with others on here, two days ago several frauds transactions appeared on my account using my debit card. Ive only ever used it once myself and the small transactions were for multiple on the same account and company. I tried to use the in App chat but there was a message saying they had lots of complaints about unauthorised transactions so they were busy. I called the helpline and debit card was cancelled. Even so, new transactions today, all be it they were declined. The response from the bank was “ we are investigating my claim “ Its so obvious the bank has an issue, yet no apology for now not having a debt card for 5 days and no explanation. This reaction is far too slow and not reassuring at all that the bank is in control of my account. Im amazed at such a poor response.

I have been using mettle for about 12 months now and I can honestly say, I have found them to be really good and helpful. You also have free agent on there to help with your accounts. I have also recently had an issue with unauthorised money being taken out of my bank via card payments. They have sorted it straight away and refunded any money owed back into my account.

I had various amounts taken from my account it was out of hours but I read on there to freeze my card which I did, which stopped them taking any more money. They investigated it and are sending me a new card and will reimburse all the money taken from scammers. Keep an eye on your account and if you see anything you don’t recognise freeze card immediately and contact your bank.
I love Mettle and it’s been brilliant for my small business.
Highly recommend them, their customer service is amazing.

Seemed like a solid account and came with accounting software. However, they're impossible to contact if you have a problem, I've had £3000 taken from the account by a clone fraud and then a new attempt at a further £2500. I called on the first and tried to call and msg for the send payments but they're non existent. I'll have to wait for a reply then my funds back, after that I'll move asap to a account that has physical support not AI and one person sorting the mess out. I'm not the only one they're 100s of people in the same boat.
Update! I've contacted the support and in app, I have had nothing and still they're trying thousands a day to take from the account! Helps non existent!

I was really happy with mettle until last night when I saw 37 withdrawals within 36 hrs from 4 different unrecognised companies. 30 of them were from the same one for the same account for the same account. As it’s outside their working hours and the weekend there’s no one to call or contact via online chat!. I froze the card and asked for a replacement card but I don’t feel reassured as someone is still attempting to withdraw money. The bank should have a system to stop this , reassure me and have a 24/7 fraud line. I’m going to find a bank that has this facility. Terrible that this can happen not only with a bank but a business back! I read that there are others that have complained about the same thing.

I am an existing Natwest customer and applied to Mettle over a month ago. The only correspondence so far was a non-reply message two weeks ago apologising for the delay. I've tried to contact them to no avail.
I suppose I will need to apply elsewhere if this is the standard of customer service I can expect. If zero stars was available that would be more appropriate as they have wasted my time and been detrimental to my business.

Great simple bank if you are a new business, also FreeAgent included which is a big bonus. They need to introduce IBAN numbers though so can do international payments as I’ve had to go elsewhere for this.

Fabulous bank for ltd company,free ,easy on hand help always ,I cannot fault them they even got me money back of a scammer ,which I never thought I would of seen that £300 again ,very helpful and online chat is great used to be instant replying,bit slower now ,maybe they are getting bigger but still good
