**Return Lost in Transit – Refusing Refund Despite Using Their Own Courier**

Really disappointing experience with Foot Asylum.

At Christmas we ordered a shirt and leggings. Neither fit, so we returned them using Foot Asylum’s official InPost returns process to exchange the shirt and refund the leggings.

Weeks later we received a random parcel containing an anime drawing book – nothing to do with us. Foot Asylum then claimed they had “received the wrong items” and refused both the refund and exchange.

We followed their exact returns method, have the InPost tracking proof, and did everything correctly. Under UK consumer law the responsibility passes to the retailer once a return is handed to their chosen courier, so any loss or substitution in transit should be between Foot Asylum and InPost – not the customer.

Customer service via live chat has been unhelpful and just ended the chats mid-conversation and refused to help. We’ve been left out of pocket for over two months with no resolution.

I would really appreciate Foot Asylum escalating this properly and issuing the refund/exchange we are entitled to.

I have personally looked into this matter in detail. Following a full investigation, including a review of our warehouse intake process and CCTV footage, we can confirm that the parcel received under your return reference contained a drawing/anime book and not the original shirt and leggings that were sent to you.

We appreciate that you used our official InPost returns method and have provided tracking confirmation. However, based on the physical parcel received and the supporting CCTV evidence, the original items were unfortunately not inside the returned package delivered to us.

We want to resolve this fairly. As soon as the original items are returned to us, we will of course be happy to process the appropriate refund and exchange without delay.

If you would like to raise this further with the courier directly, you are absolutely entitled to do so, and we are happy to cooperate with any formal investigation from their side.

I do understand this is not the outcome you were hoping for, and I’m truly sorry for the distress this has caused. If there is any additional information you can provide that may help us investigate further, please do let us know.
