Review of TOSOT Direct

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Product is step ahead of competition

I ordered a mini-split from TosotDirect. Packaging & delivery were both excellent. The features offered in the TOSOT mini-split products were a step ahead of the competition in terms of value. As my unit was recently installed, I cannot judge either reliability or durability yet.

Review of ScanCafe

Scans were great, rest of it problematic

The photo scans by themselves were fine - the high quality I have come to expect from your company.

However, the online experience and even the phone experience with customer service is not so hot. The online experience is riddled with upsale pages for everything from USB sticks to software packages to handle ZIP files. My one call to customer service for help when I couldnt download my paid for photos was with a representative who preferred to talk over her customer rather than listen.

Two strikes for you guys on this order. I hope you will stick to your knitting more and install phone customer service reps who listen to the customer's problem before responding.

Ships by ultra-cheap FedEx Smart Post -- the slowest & worst ever

I ordered two baby bibs to be sent as a gift for our young grandson and that had to arrive before their departure to Europe to visit other relatives there. I ordered these from CafePress in early July, some 3 weeks in advance, so as to give them plenty of time to ship and arrive. They were not shipped until July 16, and the shipping email notice from CafePress with a tracking # only said shipping was via FedEx. Delivery was actually made some 10+ days later (to an L.A. address), with FedEx Smart Post being the actual means of shipment. This is a hyper-cheap, hyper-slow hybrid shipment via FedEx Ground and (at the receiving end) the US Postal Service. I have had others use this means of shipment before and can say nothing positive about it -- it is glacial, the tracking # is for decoration only, etc. Will never buy from CafePress again. They could have just as easily put the two baby bibs in a small envelop and sent it via regular, old first class mail, and it would have reliably arrived in maybe 3 days.

Two years going on four.............

I have used PIA for two years now and have just paid for another two years. The service is excellent, the online speeds are fast, and the international connections useful when travelling. The device software is easy to install and use, and the service pricing is reasonable. While not at all in the control of PIA, there are some commercial web sites that reject any attempt by anyone using a VPN to connect to their sites, so you just have to be prepared for that eventuality, but even that is OK because they reject you because they want your personal information and location anyway. PIA is highly recommended.

Review of Rail Europe

Comprehensive, seamless service - recommended

We are planning a trip in December in Spain and found it difficult and frustrating trying to (first) understand the RENFE classes of service, fares, seating and timetables and to (second) actually purchase tickets for the desired date(s). Loco2 really helped us understand all of these various elements, so we could make a good decision for our own needs and budget. Loco2 even offered to send us an email when RENFE released ticketing for the date we wanted to travel, so we were also able to maximize our discount ticket possibilities. Service via their web site was excellent. Recommended.

Review of Leftover Currency

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Fantastic, honest service for leftover currency

As part of a residence move in retirement, I ran across an old stash of various currencies from my business travels. These were a mix of coins and bills, and many were now out of circulation. I did a blind web search to try to find some outlet that might redeem this old currency for me and found Leftover Currency. Even though I live in the US and Leftover Currency is in the UK, I successfully used their web site and with nothing to lose, mailed all of this to them in London. While the mailing took a while to arrive, once it had arrived they promptly reviewed the package and within 24 to 48 hours had already paid me the proceeds electronically. Highly recommend.
