That moment when you’re reading a reaaaalllyy good fic and the plot is amazing and the characters are wonderfully in character and it’s just perfectly written and it seems like it’s going in the direction you want and the smut scene pulls around and you think “this is gonna be great” but then the wrong character tops and you feel like you’ve just wasted your time and you just slowly exit out of the tab while frowning and whisper a soft “no” under your breath but the feeling of utter betrayal doesn’t go away and the rest of the day is ruined cause you spent an hour reading this fic that ended up slapping you in the face with a big “nope”
So basically you’re saying that it doesn’t matter how well written a fic is, you only care about the sex.
aaand this is why aces and other people get put off writing fics when they don’t want to write smut.

Saying the “wrong character” tops is implying that homosexual relationships are not balanced, and, news flash, MOST ARE. People switch roles, it’s not one or the other, just like with hereto sex the girl can sometimes top, same with homosexual sex, there is no such thing as “wrong character tops” because IT DOESN’T WORK LIKE THAT. People can have preferences on who wants to be in charge, but in reality it can go either way

People also don't have sex in clothing stories or the backs of trucks or washing machines.
