another one of those silly tumblr poll brackets! this one is for characters that are headcanoned as trans, specifically as a gender different than they are in canon! as great as headcanoning a canon male as transmasc is, it’s always fun to see a canon cis male hced as transfem, a canon cis female hced as nonbinary, etc!

running this poll lowkey took a lot out of me, but it also brought me a lot of joy. my life is a bit busy atm but if all goes according to plan and things clear up this summer, i’d love to run it again! id probably run a losers bracket first but i’m definitely open to running it again with new submissions as well

The 10th annual international gender census, collecting information about the language we use to refer to ourselves and each other, is now open until 9th May 2023.
It’s short and easy, about 5 minutes probably.
After the survey is closed I’ll process the results and publish a spreadsheet of the data and a report summarising the main findings. Then anyone can use them for academic or business purposes, self-advocacy, tracking the popularity of language over time, and just feeling like we’re part of a huge and diverse community.

So far so good, the survey has been open for about 8 hours and there are almost 6,000 responses! Keep 'em coming, folks!
If you're into this sort of thing, I've made the usual public spreadsheet of data-crunching, which I'm hoping to update manually twice a day or so. (Probably more often towards the beginning of the survey, while everything is busy!)
It compares this year's participation with the previous two years, and gives some info about ages and locations of participants, plus how everyone's finding the survey this year.

While the idea is fun for having Logan and Youngblood combine into one competitor if there’s a tie, wouldn’t that be a bit unfair to whoever wins on the other side since it’s be combining two fanbases against one? This isn’t supposed to be /neg by the way! Just wanted to clarify I do think the idea is cute, I was just curious!
i can definitely see this. honestly, i didnt fully expect it to work out, and i figured that if they did manage to pull it off then they earned it. the more i think of it, though, i dont think its actually as unfair as it seems. rswr is a spinoff of tss, and i would guess at least 95% of the rswr fanbase are also tss fans. plus, theyre up against rainbow dash. mlp is a much larger and more prolific fandom, and rainbow made it to finals without a single propaganda post. i dont think i ever even saw anyone say to vote rainbow in an actual reblog, only ocassionally through tags. i think that what slight advantage ive given to logan and youngblood is evened out by just how huge of a fanbase there is for mlp

"middle sibling competition" "most unhinged knife weilding bisexual with abandonment issues competition" "biggest left tit competition" ridiculous, all of you. pure cowardice. if your characters are so good they should win against all. they should climb the ever increasing mountain of corpses free of constraints. so, i give you:
no limits. no categories. simply characters fighting to the fucking death in one single glorious showdown, the ULTIMATE battle, as they should have been all along. if your characters are truely strong they will prevail. they will fight as long as they need to. or do you doubt them?

I’m not sure if you’ve already stated this, but what happens if there’s a tie?
i honestly haven’t fully decided yet. i’m kinda hoping it just never happens and i don’t have to worry about it?
but if it does i think i would just put all three characters in the next poll? and then depending on results possibly have the two highest scoring characters move on for the actual final poll
