Evidently, for the most part even the people who are pro AI will argue that AI is good for everything except the one specific thing where they have personal skill, experience and expertise in. Naturally that particular field can only be done by human hands and cannot be replicated.
Which only serves to illuminate that the techbros who insist that 100% of everything can be done by machines are just admitting that they don't actually have any field or area of human life, existence, or anything at all, in which they'd know shit from shinola.
I keep hearing comments about how wine mom libs only dislike ICE because they’re deporting people illegally, which, obviously 1) not true that would not be enough to inspire the protests we’re seeing right now, but 2).
It’s actually a really great thing that in the United States you can refuse to open your door to a cop and say “come back with a warrant” and they have to listen and if they don’t you can sue them into the fucking ground.
That’s actually a really important thing to be able to do. That’s important for like every person here.
I don’t think we’re really giving enough credit to how knowing some magic words and phrases can give you tangible rights in this country and it’s being stripped from us in real time on camera.

I watch a British TV show and someone is being read their rights during an arrest and instead of being encouraged to stay silent and wait for an attorney, they’re being encouraged to speak even if they’re guilty.

The study can’t be carried out in the US or Denmark because it fails almost every benchmark for medical ethics — surprising absolutely nobody, it is in fact heinously unethical to expose babies to preventable disease that causes liver failure and liver cancer, but the “study” has been green lit in Guinea.
Fuck the US imperial project in Africa, fuck RFK Jr and the US Department of Health, and fuck every single collaborative researcher in Denmark. This is some nightmare Tuskegee Study shit and every single individual involved deserves to be in The Hague.

Taft’s image appeared on the cover of a German magazine distributed on Jan. 24, 1935, after winning a contest organized by the Nazi propaganda apparatus to find the most beautiful Aryan baby. The photograph was taken by Hans Ballin, a well-known photographer in Berlin, who had been approached by the office of Joseph Goebbels, the Nazi regime’s propaganda chief, to submit images of infants for the competition. Ballin submitted 10 photographs, including one of Levinsons Taft, whose Jewish parents had taken her to his studio shortly after her birth. The baby won the contest, and her image was later reproduced on congratulatory postcards sold in German shops. According to Taft and her family, Ballin was aware that the child was Jewish and deliberately submitted the photo as an act of quiet defiance. hi everyone. I need help.
I’m at the vet right now with my cat Clyde getting a lump on his forehead checked that I was really hoping wouldn’t be anything serious but after the initial check up, the vet is also very concerned about him and needs to refer me to somewhere that I can get him a CT scan, and because of the rapid growth of the lump he does NOT recommend waiting on this. and the ballpark quotes he’s giving me for prices are absolutely terrifying me. Anywhere from $500 to several thousand.
So, im scared as hell right now and I want to immediately start trying to gather the finances im going to need to take care of him.
Clyde is only 3 years old he’s so young and he’s such a wonderful cat and he could have so, so many more years of happy life with me and I cannot stand the thought of losing him especially because of just not being able to afford to help him.
I will reblog and update with more information as I am able to, but I’m not wasting any time on this. I know im going to need help to cover the cost of his CT scan and whatever comes next, so please….if you can help, it would mean everything to me.
