I Cannot Stop Thinking about it so!!! Baby Arondekar + Woodstone family headcanons/hopes because why not:

  • Trevor turns into such a mother hen SO fast. Like the entire pregnancy he’s been his normal self but then the baby actually gets there and he’s looking at them and he’s like. Oh god. There is a tiny little human here. A tiny little human we’re all responsible for.
  • Dude just flocks to the kiddo lmao he sees toys scattered about and he’s painstakingly trying to move them, pushes all the vases squarely to the middle of tables (because he knows allllll too well what accidents could come from that), triple checks Sam double-checking the baby gate is actually closed.
  • Hetty, on the other hand, mother hens Sam and tries giving her “maternal advice” which Sam very quickly realizes is actually “ways to break about five different child labor laws while calling it parenting”.
  • Sam very much ignores the advice and Hetty scoffs about how Sam doesn’t know how to follow her incredible knowledge but when Sam doesn’t notice, Hetty has THE fondest smile whenever she watches Sam with the baby.
  • I know it’s such an overused trope in pregnancies stories but “sam HAS to have the baby at the manor and the ghosts + jay have to help deliver it” lmao I know, I know, but I’d be such a sucker for it
  • I think Pete and Thor in particular would get?? Very emo very fast. They didn’t get a chance to see their kids grow up and they love the baby, so so much, and they obviously know how their children fared in the future. But there’s a lot they missed out on, too, and being with the baby for so long is a bittersweet thing for them, so at first they range from being incredibly attentive and then a bit overwhelmed.
  • After an adjustment period, however, you know those two are just super loving and attentive. Also I just think Jay would find a way to make Pete the godfather even unofficially; I know that in my heart actually
  • Everyone works overtime to make sure Flower and the kiddo never accidentally walk into each other lmao, especially when the kid learns how to walk.
  • Poor Isaac has to deal with Jay going “is this a dirty diaper or is Isaac here?” every time
  • Stephanie almost blows a gasket because the baby wakes her up LMAOOO. Poor girl doesn’t sleep for essentially the first six months. 100% tells Sam that she & Jay aren’t allowed to have another kid.
  • Sass definitely tells the kiddo bedtime stories and Thor & Alberta sing  lullabies <3
  • All the ghosts try their hardest to make their names the very first word the baby said (after “appa”, because Jay won that competition, thank you very much). One day, kiddo looked right at them and said “flowa!” and everyone started yelling that this wasn’t fair, it might not even be about their Flower. Flower cheered and said, “Oh I love you, uh - I wanna say Chad?”

From the 69 kinks list: #49 Fantasies & Fantasizing for Henry/James or Henry/Abigail. Thanks!

This is sort of a sequel to Dancing Cheek to Cheek, and has been kicking around as an idea for ages.  This is part 1, which is pretty tame.  Part 2 (much less tame) will be forthcoming as a part of another Henry/Abigail prompt fill.

#49 Fantasies & Fantasizing - Henry/Abigail

If she thought admiring Henry from afar had been difficult, it was nothing compared to knowing he was hers for the asking and yet being unable to do anything about it.

Their shifts in the makeshift hospital camp were long and gruelling, and sometimes mismatched enough to mean that there was little more than time for a greeting in passing now and again.

Finally they both ended in time to take dinner together, and she grinned her way through the meal listening to Henry babble on about the progress little Abraham had made.  He had fallen in love with the baby, and even though he’d put up a gruff front when she’d teased him about taking him home, she knew the idea had taken root in his head.

Henry would make a wonderful father, of that much she was certain.  He was quite a sight, often picking up and jogging the baby on his hip one-handed while drinking a cup of coffee, and Dr. Collins never lost an opportunity to tease Henry about his maternal instincts.  Henry, for his part, would merely rolled his eyes and hand Abraham over to Collins, who put on a comical show that left the little boy squealing with laughter.  He might be a cad, but Collins was as much a soft touch for the baby as they all were.

“I’ll say it again, Henry, you’re in trouble,” she told him over dinner with a mock stern expression.  “He’ll be stowing away in your dunnage if you’re not careful.”

If Abigail didn’t take him herself.  She’d spent many of her free hours with Abe in the nursery rocking him and singing to him, falling asleep in a chair by his crib.

Or if she was very lucky, maybe she could have them both.

Thank you! I loved this. I could see Abigail wanting so badly to be with Henry, and her frustration at being denied. And wishing Henry was more forward with her. Glad they’ll have the chance to spend some private time together. It’s sweet how attached Henry is to Abe. Love that this is set in the Dancing Cheek to Cheek universe. :)
