So excited to see Santos this season!! I did not like her for 50-75% of the first season, but now I love her and so excited to appreciate her the entire season

okay so this might be a long shot, but i was wondering if you and your followers could help me find an mcu fic? i had to have read it years ago, but the premise was that someone put a hit out on spiderman, basically running a massive smear campaign where spiderman is painted as a villain, deadpool picks up the job and basically tries to kill him. deadpool unmasks him, realises he's a kid and then get wrecked by i think the avengers who show up and helps peter. i think it had 12 chapters, and might have been deleted. at one point, peter gets a visit from professor x and they talk about peter's mutant status. thank youuuu

Does anyone know it?

Thank you for your latest work about Kon! Already with the titles references it seems heavy themes are involved and I look forwards to how you will approach them. From the content itself I am already worried for his heart and wellbeing.

A work I think about a lot and maybe you will like because its also about loving Jon and realizing where Kon is/has been in life is straight on 'til morning by merils

Description is as follows:

“All children, except one, grow up.” ― J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan

Kon hasn't been a kid in a long time - he's not stuck at sixteen anymore, and he hasn't been for years; he's twenty-three and living his best life. But the past has funny ways of coming back to haunt everyone when they least expect it, and there's no predicting the storm on the horizon for him.

It starts simply, as do most things. Jon turns sixteen.

Jon turns sixteen, and Kon suddenly realizes that if anyone were to treat him the way he was treated at sixteen, he'd tear the world apart.

The revelations, unfortunately, don't stop there.

Thank you again!

Yes I adore this fic so much! I read it a while ago, and it was so beautiful and definitely informed my understanding of the characters a lot

Heated Rivalry/ Game Changers is so different to my usual fandoms. Normally I'm desperate for whump/angst. I want to see characters betrayed, tortured, delirious, and pushed to their breaking points-- but now all I want is for Ilya and Shane to be unbearably happy and stupidly successful and rubbing it in the faces of everyone who doubted them

I was born in the exact right generation I love being an unmarried woman in my twenties with my own bank account and no children

This getting reblogged with “and my thirties” “and my forties” “and my fifties”

Hi, you've mentioned you're a speech therapist irl, and I was wondering if I could ask you a question. I developed MTD as a post-viral complication of laryngitis a while back, and did respond well to vocal therapy. HOWEVER. I am also autistic, and my brain apparently somehow decided that the way to deal with any amount of stress after all that is to go nonverbal. Not MTD mute, nonverbal. Is this something you've encountered or heard about? You don't have to answer and I'm not looking for treatment suggestions, I'm just curious. Thanks!

I'm sorry this has happened. That does sound stressful.

I can't really give advice on this. Where I live, voice therapy is more niche and not something I have much experience with, especially since I work in paediatrics.

But shutting down after stressful situations, especially when it's directly tied to how you're communicating, is not uncommon in my experience. Speech therapy can be hard and stressful, especially if you're returning to it after past interventions haven't been successful. I would go back to your therapist (or find a new one!) if you can and work with them to figure this out, especially if there is something structurally wrong causing all this (i.e. you physically can't create any sound). Everyone is different and no single intervention works for everyone.

i am back having just finished heated rivalry and planning to read tough guy tomorrow and then be forced to wait For Forever to get the next books bc APPARENTLY the whole damn county wants these books and my library doesnt have enough copies lmaoo

.... the agonizing wait might be enough to get me watching the show tho so like. win/win, i guess?

Definitely watch the show! Most of the time, I find the TV show/movie adaption to be lacking in comparison to the books/original source material, but for Heated Rivalry, that is NOT the case. There's actually a lot of stuff about the show that I appreciate over the books, and I don't think I would have loved this story as much as I do if I had only ever read the books. The show goes a bit deeper into some things the books skim over while still being a very faithful adaption, with a lot of dialogue lifted directly from the book. Plus, have you seen Hudson and Connor?? I could stare at them all day

Definitely recommend reading The Long Game as well when you can (though I imagine it might take a while to get a copy through your local library). Apparently the final book in the Game Changers series is coming out in September!!!! And it's the third Shane/Ilya novel, following directly on from TLG, so that is required reading.
