do you have any oc’s with feeding tubes? It’s okay if not, I just got curious lol. On another note, your character design is amazing and I love the diversity!
I do! And thank you so much 🩷
Rawiya has a NG tube, due to her gastroparesis as a secondary illness from already having auto-immune issues (she has Systemic Lupus Erythematosus).
you are the goat of character design aaaugh. if it's not a bother could you talk about what inspires your characters' style ? :O
oh my gosh, thank you so much! it means so much to me that you and others think so! and what inspires my characters styles... honestly that's a tough one to answer! I don't particularly think i have a "unique" process of how I choose it or anything like that! I think mostly, like, I take their life circumstances and personality into account most of the time!
Like, for example; With Aksana, she lives in the Sakha Republic, and is Sakha (Yakut) herself, which is one of the coldest places on earth to live! So, in order for her to still have her style, she needed to be dressed warmly for her environment. Or like, with Lethabo, his entire world revolves around both his special interest and job (Meteorology) so a lot of his style comes from interpretations of weather and practicality! For others, like Gali, I wanted to give her a more "Avant-Garde" type style, a trendsetter or someone who really plays with fashion because as a trans woman especially one so connected to community, she is very into self-expression and being open about who she is, so I wanted that to be reflected in her outfits -- as well as her likes (she likes blue, she likes the ocean etc). Or Ari who has his entire life put on his outfits, his likes and dislikes, his interests and his simplicity of comfort over overly accessorized. I guess, I try to think about my OC's as if they all were real people in the world, and how people in general express themselves through their body and their fashion and style. I want my original characters to feel like someone you'd pass on the street, because that's what i find so beautiful about humanity. the uniqueness and diversity but also the connection and similarities.
