I read this fic where Richter brings Aster back to life and this scene made me tear up so of course I had to draw it

Hi, I'm the author and I literally cried, oh my god, thank you so much! This art is so gorgeous and perfectly captures what I had in mind for that scene! My heart is still beating so fast, I'm not even sure I can ever express how happy this has made me. I write a lot of weird stuff under this pseudonym, but I'm working on original fiction under a different one, and writing is, as most writers know, very difficult, especially starting out. Seeing fan art for my fanfic gives me so much hope that someday my original fiction will do just as well, and honestly, that makes a lot of what I've gone through feel so worth it. It's incredibly validating to see someone enjoy my work so much that they produced such a brilliant piece of art to go with it, and I'm having a hell of a time processing it. It's gorgeous, and I'm so glad my work achieved a level that was good enough to inspire such a beautiful rendering. I can't praise it enough. I see so much rad artwork for DotNW on the JP side of the fandom, and it's so hard to find because a lot of it is untagged on twitter and I don't speak enough Japanese to know how to ask for it. The last time I saw fan art inspired by an English fic for DotNW was ages ago on deviant art for a fic that no longer exists on the web. And I remember reading the fic and being like "Yeah, I totally get how this deserves fan art!" So just... being that person right now is an immense honor, and I don't know if I'll ever get over it. My heart is just swollen with so much love and affection and pride that my work has been immortalized in such a beautiful piece. Someone with so much talent saw what I wrote and put tremendous time and effort and skill into this piece because I made something worthwhile. I'm just beyond touched. I can't say thank you enough. This is a blessing and I will cherish this. I'm gonna pin this on my blog and just... love it forever, because I don't know what else I can do for it. I'm just so happy!

It's actually kind of striking how rapidly the ads on ostensibly respectable platforms have changed in the last 12–18 months. I've been getting penis enlargement scams and pyramid schemes that don't even bother to pretend to be otherwise on YouTube – it's like every platform is now running the kinds of ads that even five years ago would have been restricted to porn sites, and I'm not gonna lie, the fact that everyone seems to be getting desperate all at once ain't an encouraging sign!

my dog came and got me while I was getting ready for work this morning, and she was signaling that it was Very Urgent. I followed her downstairs thinking something was wrong with my senior dog or my partner but the minute my foot hit the bottom step my partner loudly asked "Did she come get you, too?"

"She did, what's wrong?"

"She wants you to look at the frog."

"...The frog?"

"Yeah. The frog."

"There's a frog?"

"on the window, yeah"

so she was standing in the corner staring at me VERY expectantly and somewhat impatiently, so I walked over and she immediately turned her attention back to the window and sure enough. very high up. and very small. there was a frog.

keep in mind that bigfoot himself could be in the yard outside and this dog Would Not Care. but god forbid a frog catches a vibe on the window I guess. anyway. glad my dog deemed this worthy of my attention
