  • I like his comedies better than his tragedies
  • The Pyramus and Thisbe scene in Midsummer Night's Dream isn't that funny
  • Actually all of Midsummer Night's Dream isn't funny
  • Much Ado About Nothing is my Favorite by far

So it's been 5 and a half years

I think I had simply seen too many children with very little direction attempt to do the Play within a Play. Because that shit is hilarious! I do sorta stand by not finding the rest of Midsummer that funny, I think mileage REALLY varies.

I do still overall think I prefer the comedies to the tragedies but it is WAY less strong

And those other two points? Yeah 1000%

ok i have posted about this before but hands down one of the funniest moments in much ado is when literally the PRINCE OF ARAGON don pedro, after seeing her cousin get proposed to, abruptly and somewhat inexplicably proposes to beatrice—who like for all we can tell is probably down on her luck, living with her uncle and cousin with no mention of parents, very likely an orphan of not great means—and she just laughs it off and he laughs and they move on and this is never, NEVER mentioned again. then she marries his friend

Honestly it boils down to reparenting yourself & rewiring your own neuronal pathways & telling yourself a firm “stop” when you notice your mind slipping down negative loopholes & being present in the moment & enjoying being mid task rather than waiting for it to end & not thinking of inertia as your baseline and natural way of living

So tempting to keep embarking on the same self destructive cycle over & over & over again . But at some point you have to put ur foot down w ur own behaviors & be the thing that truly saves u

what even happened to plastic girl and crow boy. we forgot about them so fast. just another example of the savage nature of hollywood

Even our youth fictional romances are cheap, artificial, and disposable these days, much like a certain clothing material that comes to mind.

Perhaps it will come as a surprise that Dr House, contrary to expected wisdom,¹ retorted at this juncture that the hygiene drug would kill the patient. If indeed this is truly surprising, it pales in comparison to House’s suggested alternative: the bold assertion that the patient required the mouse bites to live.²

I've never been more devastated that I'm going to miss an event in my life. What a fucking icon.

never mind, I can make it!!

Update;

She expected maybe 5-10 people to show up. There were about 100.

I gave out scotch eggs to commemorate the occasion.

She gave a beautiful speech, was blindfolded, then kicked REAL good. Crumpled. Gave us a thumbs up.

Applause. Then the flute. Then a moment's silence.

Absolutely beautiful. I fucking love trans people and Glasgow and trans Glaswegians.

Ok thank GOD there’s an update.

Official silly sign
