I’ve seen one too many posts of people implying the reaction to Ty not being a main POV character is over nothing because people just assumed Ty would have a POV, like it came from the voices in people’s heads or something CC said in 2020, or something to that degree… which isn’t true??

Just so we’re all on the same page, on the 6th of December 2024 (~11 months ago) Cassandra Clare posted a reel on her instagram (which is still there btw) answering questions about TWP. One of those questions was which POV she’s liking writing the most. To this she replies saying she likes writing all of them, Dru, Ty, & Kit (in that order), and that they were the only TWP POVs so far but that might change as she continues writing. She was actively writing TLKOF at the time and nothing she says implies Ty’s POV is significantly smaller than the others, which suggests to me & many others that CC’s has reduced Ty’s POV in those 11 months. which, many people have been justifiably caught off guard by & concerned about what the reasons behind it could be, especially since Ty is an autistic character & very important to a lot of fans (because surprise! autistic people are real & many people in this fandom are autistic & can see the weird shit some people are posting). food for thought.

I once beat my school’s chess champion in a game because he spent the entire match desperately trying to work out my strategy because I was “smart” and therefore good at chess.

We were playing with a Lord of the Rings chess set. I was moving the characters I liked best.
