thinking about the way benton treats carter’s addiction vs the way robby treats langdon’s
carter is defensive and denies everything. he punches benton in the face, and yet benton still hugs him and holds him and kisses him so gently on the head. carter sags into him—finally someone is helping him stand. benton flies with him to atlanta. he takes care of john
and robby… doesn’t take any accountability. it’s pure rage. “betrayal.” no understanding, not a moment to take stock. langdon isn’t defensive about it, he begs to be heard. it kills him to disappoint. i had a realization while i was thinking about this, and it’s that robby is exactly like the mother who doesn’t want her daughter to have an abortion because she wasn’t allowed to. robby is that mother. if i don’t get to numb myself with drugs, if i have to feel every second of every shift, every overdose, every gsw, every drowning, then so the fuck do you. he’s disappointed that langdon isn’t repressing the way he does

What would I even say? I guess it's something that just never goes away. A crowd of thousands came to see me and you couldn't reply for three days.
hayden being exactly the kind of friend shane needs 💙 (for @rachelica9 my fellow hayden lover)
one thing i particularly appreciate about the pitt is that the cast is an ensemble of people who actually look real. they all have different teeth and freckles and lines on their face. and many of them are either working actors who have been hustling it for years and know their shit or working actors that are younger within the industry, have also been hustling, and are finally enjoying the fruits of their labor.
no one has had any face-warping plastic surgery. hairs are out of place. they just look real and i fucking love that
