I love how new hobbies just make you notice things that would otherwise go completely over your head. I’ve only been knitting for about a month, but now I can’t help but look more attentively at the clothes people wear. I used to never pay attention to any of that, but now I find myself appreciating how certain sweaters drape so nicely and being proud of recognising how different items must have been made! Gosh it took so so so little to change how I see the world around me. I wonder how many other things I’m completely missing
I want to switch out to my Norfolk, but I'm feeling way too attached to my Croc cover. It's too full though, and I'm not ready to archive my memories so I need the bigger rings 💔

some ‘energy takers’ to avoid in the new year:
overthinking, people pleasing and unclear boundaries -this year is our communication era
dehydration and constantly going without rest - get a glass of water and touch some grass
negativity - everyday may not be good, but there’s a little good in every day
some 'energy givers' for the new year :
glasses of water, sunlight, nourishing food - remember that you're just a plant with more complicated feelings!
reading, music, creativity, writing and setting intentions - things that'll cure the feeling of 'being alive but not living'.
laughter with loved ones and cuddles with a pet - do I really need to explain this one more?
Hey. Stop for a second. Take this moment to appreciate that you don't have to write a paper right now. No one is asking you to write a paper. You don't have to think about the paper or plan your time around the paper. You have the freedom to think about whatever you want. Everything is going to be okay. At least you don't have to write a paper right now
"gee this paper I have to write is really tough, I think I'll go on tumblr.com to unwind a bit-"
Here’s what 7 years of journaling and scribbling looks like :)
