North Wyrm's Bloggific Blog.

@north-wyrm / north-wyrm.tumblr.com

Blog is inactive! Do not follow! I only post to sideblogs, still have this one for making comments and replies, but I won't post anything here. I am in my 20s

UH OH, this blog is INACTIVE!

Last posted on north-wrym in 2021

To follow my current blogs it's:

@northwyrm (main. posting about books I'm reading, moss, crocodiles, meat, bones)

@bloodmoodtrash writing blog for a silly story about vampires (writeblr, Storyteller Saturday, OCs)

@draconesmundi writing blog for field guide for dragons (worldbuilding, speculative evolution, folklore, mythology, dragon art)

@bestofpalaeo reblogging palaeontology art from Tumblr.

Little Blog Update

Hi everyone, I no longer reblog things to north-wyrm tumblr - if I 'like' a post it'll be reblogged to one of my side blogs. If you followed me for dragons, I'll be putting dragon stuff @draconesmundi and if you followed me for palaeontology it'll be @bestofpalaeo - I will be making more side blogs soon, you might find them, you might not. Depends what you're looking for ;)

UPDATE - for storteller saturday and writing stuff, it's @bloodmoodtrash

The ask box and some messages (not all??) have been deactivated from my main blog for ages etc. and I've not been reblogging stuff on main since... okay I checked I had actually been reblogging stuff here only last week oops. (I have no memory of most of the posts from this month? eh? hmmm. my brain has been scrambled egg for a while)

Point is, I'm still around I'm just making loads of side-blogs now to compartmentalise and organise better. I love my friends a lot and deeply regret not keeping in contect enough (El, Oli and a few others are very important examples of people I needed to keep in touch with, many spoons, health and love to you)

Edit:

@northwyrm is new 'main' blog, if I have liked a LOT of stuff it'll end up there most likely. @north-wyrm and @northwyrm are separate blogs, please follow @northwyrm

Reblogged

Just doodled a few new dragons I’ve been collecting. They’re side characters in Ells and Pan’s story (which is why I used those two to fill space).

Eridosthera (Guardian), Narivon (Bogsneak) and Almohrah (Mirror) are deep sea dragons which are more monster than dragon. A common myth among sea-dwelling dragon-folk, it is said that five dragons guard an ancient sea-garden whose plants can cure any ailment. Those they deem worthy may be given leave to take the plants they need, but of those who have gone looking for the garden, they either return empty handed or not at all.

(I’m still looking for appropriate gen1s for the fae and ridgeback dragons if you have any to sell who match the blues/greens with yellows/browns/oranges vibe these guys have going on)

Gouache, 8x10"

Personal work; I’m experimenting a little with dragons having wings more like fish-fins or pterosaurs than bat wings. More to come on that line of thought.

A little dragonlet for this first throwback thursday of Smaugust! This was a breakthrough painting for me at the time and I still love this smug little guy and his fin-wings.
