So I actually never heard of this and I’m absolutely loving this actually.
In 2026 I’ll be writing every day 10 hours per day, I’m gonna write so much Stephen King himself will tell me to calm down. Then I’m gonna sell at least 3 millions copies of my novel in 3 hours. Cherry on top I’m gonna find a job that pays me 200 euros per hour and become very rich.

Im not part of BWA so this isnt biased but is anyone else sick of the hate. I just saw one of the hateful bullies try to 'prove' an author was using ai in a massive post and then when someone met the energy and gave a bunch of proof that called their 'proof' into question they called them nasty things and implied their post was over the top. Like dude thats exactly what you just did? How old are you that you cant see how hypocritical that is. Don't get all crabby when someone proves youre just a hateful bully. Also, if your proof of someone using ai is that they left a grammar mistake in their posts at least use the right youre in one of those posts. Like go home, how old are you. You're being left out cause youre a bully who is trying to force people to interact with you because you feel entitled to other peoples time and energy.

By the way if you like cubism but really dont want to look at Picasso, check out Francoise Gilot. She tends to do a lot of really stylized paintings of women but… Yanno. Without the abuse.
She’s also one of Picasso’s exes and consequently one of his muses. She’s spoken at length about her experience. And thus far, she’s had some pretty sweet revenge. She’s free, her artwork is simply gorgeous, and she’s still alive today (as of 2020) at the age of 98!
Edit: i would also like to add that Gilot was already an accomplished artist when she became involved with Picasso, and he completely sabotaged her career when she left him. He discouraged museums from showing her work, and he unsuccessfully tried to block the publication of her memoir, Life with Picasso. To my knowledge, she’s the only one of his “muses” who is still alive, so let’s maybe take this time to explore and celebrate the work of a woman who was overshadowed by her abuser.
i think because of the whole "writers write for themselves" notion that's becoming increasingly popularized, people forget that we still thrive off interaction and kindness. i write for myself but kudos and comments and bookmarks and really any sort of interaction with my fics genuinely motivates me to keep writing and keep sharing my works.

My favourite character design when it comes to the greek deities has got to be when a part of their sacred animal(s) is integrated. Whether that be as part of their clothes or the gods themselves. It is just always peak design.
Like Athena with a nose and brow bone that makes her face look like an owl. Artemis with deer antlers. Hera with skirts that fan out like peacock feathers. Apollo with raven feathers decorating his waist. Ares with boar tusks on his helmet. Dionysus with panther spots along the skin of his shoulders.

okay, I thought I should make this post since there has been an influx of scammers plaguing AO3 comments section and people are falling victims to them. so here it is;
so far, there are three main types of these scam bots
ALL OF THESE ARE SCAM WITH MALICE INTENTIONS
what all these 3 types of bots have in common is that;
EDIT: I’ve been told they got “smarter” and are now mentioning characters by names and also specific scenes from the story. Most definitely because they ran your fic through AI and let AI write comments for them. So basically, if a comment, from someone you don’t know, ends in something along the lines of “I’d like to draw a comic panel about this”, “can we chat on discord (or anywhere outside of ao3)” or anything that’d require your email or other personal information, always assume that it’s 90% a scam.
report them for spam then delete their comments when/if you get them.
please spread this if you can. us writers gotta look out for each other. stay safe, everybody ♡
EDIT (Dec 10, 2025): NEW TYPE OF BOTS
No one ‘accidentally’ reported you ignore that DM if someone sent you that and no one’s impersonating you that scammed them. Also that random account telling you to message them about something since they can’t DM you is going to tell you that too if you contact them. Also don’t contact that discord account they said to message that’s not tumblrs tech support. Your account isn’t getting deleted in 24hrs.

unironically i think we need to bring back computer labs because APPARENTLY some people WERENT taught basic computer literacy and internet safety in school
things about computers/the internet i think kids should be formally taught in schools because theyre important to know and the amount of soon to be grown adults i know who know NOTHING about any of these is quite frankly almost all of them (and resources to learn if you dont know these things, because its never to late to get better with computers)
as an additional note: things i think everyone should know on computers and the internet but schools may bit hesitant to teach about for whatever moral/legal standards schools pretend to operate on

Black Friday is the second largest (by area) bushfire in recorded Australian history. It lead to a Royal Commission on forestry management to mitigate future fires.
The fires currently burning in NSW and Queensland have destroyed 1.6 million hectares so far, which has been exacerbated by inaction on climate change and cutting of funding to fire services by Gladys "koala killer" Berejiklian.
Just...no. I can't deal with this. Please don't encourage retailers by spending money on their "black Friday" sales. Consider donating to the RFS instead.
Bringing this back because I just got my first Black Friday sale ad on fb from an Australian company and I want to start throwing hands.
It's frightening that only 1.6 million ha were destroyed at the time of my post, because by the end of Black Summer it was 18.6 million ha.
And to my fellow Aussies: ad standards won't do anything about advertisers running Black Friday sales, but you can directly message companies and tell them you think it's in very poor taste.

looking at any kind of trans supplies focused online shop is depressing because there will either be a complete absence of anything for transfems or like. a really sad transfem section with 5 items at the end of a list full of binders and packers and harnesses

I get the frustration, but ultimately if you want stores that do sell things specifically for trans feminine people, searching for them and sharing them is the way to go.
If you are looking for lingerie style bras for a flat chest, those are marketed towards cis woman, who had cancer related breast reduction surgery.
And I get that it is frustrating that a lot of these thing are also marketed towards crossdressers, but the reason for this is the same as to why a lot of binders are marketed as "sports bras": sellers put every (vaguely) related term into their website in the hopes of selling to more people. Which obviously isn't great either, but at least I can better tolerate it, knowing it is marketing bullshit and not misgendering me for the sake of it.
Been a long time since I did the legwork of finding places but here's all my bookmarked lingerie brands that make lingerie for transfems and have transfem models.
Carmen Liu Lingerie - trans woman owned lingerie company that makes bras and panties specifically for transfems, also has plain cotton kids' underwear.
Juniper & Eve - cis woman owned from what I can tell but her starting point with the company was "make lingerie for a trans woman friend" and underwear types are sorted by style (flat front, gaff, or pouch front) rather than by gender.
Origami Customs - I kind of think of OC as more transmasc-focused but since I last checked their site they've added the option to select gusset width on non-gaff undies which I'm pleasantly surprised by. They also do custom sizing at no extra cost.
TomboyX also does breastform bras and tucking panties now but idk anyone who wears them so I can't comment on that specirfically. Just buying their underwear over the years I feel that the quality has dropped off while the prices have doubled. I get stuff on sale only. YMMV.
The only super specifically transfem
I wanted to add on my small local store, the Tool Shed. They carry breast forms, compatible bras, gaff underwear, shapewear, some accessories like adhesive tape and wash, and dilators and lube. They also have a TONNN of books for sale (I checked and the "books and media" section for trans and intersex topics has 279 items)!
The above link is for their trans focused site, but they also have a larger collection here that includes all their trans products along with regular sex toys (and even MORE books.)
while these are strong resources, the majority of these links have yet to offer transfem specific sex toys which is what the original post is about. i know transmasc specific sex toys exist mostly to accommodate tdicks (i checked the site and the majority of what is listed for transmascs are strokers, pumps, and packers). i am having trouble finding transfem specific sex toys listed myself. however i found the following resources:

cute little fuckers: makes no mention of transmasc vs transfem specific toys but is designed by and for trans people. the toys come in unique shapes and sizes so they can be used creatively by anyone with any genitalia, definitely had trans genitalia in mind of course.
susan's place transgender resources: this is just a forum where somebody is asking for recommendations for their trans girlfriend with bottom dysphoria. lots of good recommendations from other transfems here, but also this post is from 2014 so some information may be outdated

sex toys for micropenises and "neo"vaginas: sex toys designed for those with small/"micro" penises (trans men on t with enlarged clits, trans women on e with smaller penises), and for trans women with vaginoplasty (toys that accommodate lack of natural lubricants and the need to dilate, essentially).
after a lot of digging it looks like there aren't a lot of sex toys out there designed specifically for transfems in mind :(( which really sucks because theres a lot of potential there. please add on if you find any!

It’s so crazy that suicide prevention is just people going awwww don’t!! Awwww come on noooooooooo stopppppp
One of the best ones I saw was a thing noting that every single one of the few survivors of suicide jumps off of the Golden Gate Bridge realized, on the way down, that the problems they were killing themselves over actually were fixable or could be worked through...except for the now - extremely unfixable - problem of gravity.
Went to the Holocaust Museum in DC once. There was a video interview of an Auschwitz survivor who said he and some other prisoners stayed up all night with a man who wanted to kill himself. The man didn’t kill himself and survived to liberation.
In the video the survivor said “Never seek a permanent solution to a temporary problem. And they’re all temporary problems.”
Hearing that from a guy who survived the Holocaust rewired my brain a little bit.
I think something a lot of people don't understand is that depression is not suicidality, and suicidality is not depression. People can, and are, depressed without being suicidal, and sometimes suicidality peaks as people are emerging from depression. Suicidality is a wave, and the trick is to allow that wave to crest and subside WITHOUT acting on it. Whatever it takes to ride it out. For some people that's distraction, like watching television. For others it's calling a friend -- not to talk about the suicidality, but just to talk. For others it could be as simple as going to sit in a coffee shop or library, because the presence of other people is a huge diminisher of suicide risk. That's what suicide safety planning is about. It's like having any other type of emergency plan, like a plan for fire or evacuation. It's making a plan when you are in the frame of mind to do so, so that you can just DO the plan without having to think about it when the occasion arises. When you're in the midst of suicidal ideation, or even intent, you're not in a problem-solving mood. So knowing past!you, with the help of a therapist hopefully, came up with the plan and all you have to do is follow up until the wave crests and subsides, is what allows you to see another day.

In the 1950s, my grampa chose not to die by suicide because he was reading Lord of the Rings and had only gotten through The Two Towers (ROTK wasn't out yet), and he "wanted to see how it all turned out." He ended up getting caught up in other things, and never did read it.
He learned the ending in the early 2000s, with me, long after he'd stopped reading fantasy, because I heard this story and got to tell him it'd actually just come out...on DVD.
Fifty years after it saved his life, he found out how it all turned out.
Now, isn't that worth staying alive for?
