barty had a reputation of threatening and driving away regulus’ boyfriends so when james started dating regulus, he had braced himself for whatever barty would throw at him except barty never did anything. james couldn’t help but think it was a trick so he confronted barty one day to which barty simply shrugged and said, “regulus smiles more since he’s been with you.”

i genuinely believe that regulus always runs like COLD COLD so during winters even after james gives him his jacket he'd still be cold.
meanwhile sirius asked for remus' jumper and he was told fuck no, shouldve worn the warm jacket that remus told him to wear. like, do i not get cold?? (but he keeps on casting warming charms when sirius isnt looking)
then, james comes over and asks to borrow remus' jumper for five minutes, ("i promise ill return it"), so remus is like uhh okay ig (nobody can say no to james)
its been two hours and remus' jumper is still nowhere to be seen so remus and sirius decide to finally go up and get themselves warmer shit. when theyre makes their way through the crown guess what the see?
james laughing next to somebody, trying to get them to drink somthing, persuading them with kisses as that person blushes and bats james away with a smile on their face.
that person who is wrapped in a big jumper — remus' jumper — and a big jacket (james').
that person who is regulus black.

I just imagine a scenario where jason is with the bats, could be a gala or some civilian something, and they are all joking about looks and who can flirt and get more numbers and what not, and they're gonna make jason the butt of the joke as per usual, except a devastingly handsome, slightly older man approaches and is very VERY clearly interested in jason and ONLY jason. he isn't creepy or pushy, just earnest and whole heartedly smitten with jason.
and maybe they expect the man to receive a mean quip or a swift rejection. but instead, to their utter suprise, jason just blushes, really soft and gentle and takes the number handed to him on a slip of paper, batting his eyelashes and tucking a little curl behind his ear.
and all the bats are shocked, thats not at all what they were expected. And the thing is, IT KEEPS HAPPENING.
