the funny thing about phoenix’s character is that he may seem like a blank slate protagonist on the surface, but when you actually play ace attorney you very soon realise that’s not the case and he has his own distinct personality.

however, if you ever hear shu takumi talk about how he wrote phoenix, it’s clear that he meant to write a blank slate protagonist. which kinda means he must just assume everyone’s that much of a cunt in their own head.
