super simple low-effort ao3 summary methods that are 1000% better and 1000% less annoying than just saying you suck at summaries:
- copypaste the first few lines of the fic. u already wrote ‘em. let ‘em be their own damn hook
- if ur feeling fancy & don’t mind showing ur hand a bit, copypaste the first few lines of the fic that u feel are esp. Important or Interesting - the ones where u first start getting into the real meat of things
- state the main tropes! theyre probably already in ur tags - just say them again - maybe as a full sentence if ur feelin fancy. or with a joke if ur feelin Extra fancy
- ask a question. pose a hypothetical. eg what happens if u take [character] and put them in [situation]?
- make an equation. [character] + [thing] = [outcome]
- just write like a one-sentence summary of what the fuck is going down. just one (1) sentence. doesnt matter if it doesn’t cover every important aspect. or if it sounds bland. any summary sentence is gonna be miles better than “idk i suck at summaries”
- just…explain the fic like u would to a friend? it doesnt have to be a polished back of the book blurb. it can just be “[pairing] coffee shop au, but like, still with murder, and also i made everyone trans. enjoy”
- just stick a meme in there
- honestly who cares
- just put literally anything but a self deprecating comment in there & ur golden

Ok so it's clear to me that some of y'all are having issues with this video. As someone who understands breed specific behaviors and dog body language this shit is objectively hilarious to me. Lemme explain why:
Beagles are a very vocal breed. They are hound dogs, specifically hunters, so their job is to communicate and be extra loud when excited or a "treat" is found.
Due to their nature as hounds, and in part genetically predisposed health issues, they get fat often. They're prone to eat too much and need exercise. Old beagles tend to get over weight.
This dog is not biting, frustrated, or aggressive. He's wagging his tail, licking his owner, and engaging in hunting behaviors (barking, sniffing, pointing, and nipping.) This dog is trying to catch his treat. He's working for his reward.
TLDR: The dog is having fun. Don't take it seriously. Using a crunchy mic with a beagle makes his barking sound so funny. Enjoy the humor.
i kinda get it when dogs let out those big fucking sighs randomly. you gotta try it its very nice. just a big ole sigh.
btw you're allowed to enjoy two differing interpretations of the same character and you don't have to justify why you like it to anyone. you can like your evil character to be malicious and serious and you can like depicting them as a silly goober. you can enjoy seeing people draw two characters in all sorts of different contexts and dynamics without having to pick one over the other. you don't have to come up with a complex reason. you don't have to explain yourself to anyone. you can like a character multiple ways without having to justify why it's not problematic or why it's not weird. do what you want. it's fandom, not a testimony before the court.

This is the sorta segment I wish still existed in kids’ shows. Soothing voiceover, mellow music, no flashy graphics. Just a calm behind-the-scenes look at something you might call mundane but that most of us would never have a clue about if no one pulled the curtain back to reveal its inner workings.
Okay but imagine being in kindergarten and seeing something like this, you would absolutely change your mind about wanting to be a fire fighter or teacher or whatever Job you've been told is cool and possible to grow up to do because wait a minute it's just like play-doh, there's so much it's kept in trash cans, you can use your hands to smear icing everywhere? It smells like cinnamon buns all the time?! Yes please!
I vaguely remember having a field trip to a bakery in kindergarten and thinking croissants were magical and that I wanted to make them in the future cuz kneading dough looked fun.
This is way more engaging and easier to watch than those sped-up videos with no voiceover and trashy pop music playing over the top.
It actually does make me remember similar segments in shows I watched growing up, like that one program. I don't remember what exactly the segment was about but it followed a young boy, and he briefly mentioned stopping at a friend's house and trying goat milk for the first time.
Very little else stuck with me but it sure made me curious about goat milk.
If your friend is struggling, the signs might not be obvious. A cry for help can take many different forms. Try checking in on them if you hear them express any of the following sentiments:
- I miss Supernatural
- I should rewatch Supernatural
- Supernatural was such a good show
- I hope they make more Supernatural
Oh what's that? You only read books with lots of "spice" in them? Well then I've got a great one for you, practically the whole plot revolves around "spice". Ahem. In the week before the departure to Arrakis,
i saw this sign in a bookstore and it made me laugh so hard :’)

some of us have been following each other for a long ass time
