Well hello there!

I’m VerdantGlow, but you can call me Vert (like "fair" but with a V).

- My pronouns are they/them & fae/faer.

- I’m not fandom old, in my opinion, but I am at least fandom middle aged, & if reactions I’ve received in the last year or two are anything to go off of, I’m probably older than you think.

- My tagging on reblogs is strictly for organization so I can find things, but I am trying to get better at it! (Though when spoons are low, it's highly likely there will be not a lot of tagging at all.)

- Notable exception! If I reblogged something from you with tags about using #vsmp bloodletting, these are a set of quick tags I use for things I find in #bloodletting that don't have the fandom specific ship tag. I have a post explaining shifting tags that you can give a read for details. I'm still checking #bloodletting specifically to make sure folks know about the fandom specific tag; I see lots of cool stuff posted just there & I want to make sure all the bloodletters get to see these posts!

- This is my MCYT sideblog! I am presently focusing my hingeless energy on Vampires SMP, but I’m also a fan of Skyblock Kingdoms, The Life Series, Hermitcraft, Misadventures, & Empires.

My goodness, thank you for letting me know about this!

I just did some testing with some drafts between desktop & mobile, & this is such an easier & more elegant solution for making sure people on the app can access the clips.

& if it makes it easier for people using screen readers, all the better!

#also this means I don’t have to fight with tumblr’s post editor to make the link go on the specific characters I want it too#which is not the main benefit but still#currently I’m editing the links 1-5 times per post because the highlighted characters CHANGE AFTER ADDING THE LINK#I’ll have it highlighted perfectly enter the link hit done & tumblr suddenly changes it#so the link is on half of what I’d highlighted but also five words from the line above#& sometimes it does it while I’m trying to fix it#tumblr is a functional website/app (sarcastic & extremely derogatory)#verdant answers

I think angel bites started getting popular in like 2010's iirc so I'm sure a modern Abolish would see the piercings around for quite some time and find them a nuisance for a bit. Hear about piercing healing times and whatnot, find it maybe too flaunting, too showy. But after more time passes, I honestly could see him warming up to a myriad of different body mods - nothing too crazy, a few piercings, a few tattoos. I draw my modern Abolish with an industrial piercing as well as a few helix and conch. I think once he becomes more acclimated to body mods, seeing people wearing them, hearing more about them and having his own experience with simple ear piercings he'd be less adverse to a facial piercing. The idea of him willing to get a lip piercing due to losing a bet is so funny to me, some sort of outlandish "if I win, I get to pick one thing to change about your appearance" and the irony of little vamp fang piercings. I can imagine him staring absolute daggers over this. Very "ha ha." In an extremely bland tone but he is a man of his word.

The drip would be crazy. Half white and black hair, his fit and angel bites, if he had social media back in the middle 2010's-2016 he would have made insane numbers on tumblr or insta.

#confession: it was taking me so long to transcribe because I couldn't figure out what Owen was saying after Legs said he shot Scott#I literally pulled the clip into DaVinci Resolve & spent like almost an hour trying to learn how to edit audio so I could hear him better#before I complained to my partner & they suggested I just check Owen's stream#& of course I could perfectly hear what Owen said on his own stream#& then I kinda crashed out about how I didn't think of 'check Owen's vod'#before 'learn how to fix audio in DaVinci Resolve with zero prior knowledge'#& just hadn't gotten back to it#verdant clips

Hello!! I had not expected this silly post to reach you or even knew what your blog was so I'm so glad you saw it because HELLO, I LOVE YOUR FIC.

I've been reading it since chapter 6 was first posted and have been absolutely crazy about it since. I've literally talked to mutuals about how badly I want to draw scenes from this fic since they're some of my favorites, ever. Lol, a huge fan of your work as is many people I come across on tumblr it is just so good and worth the praise! /gen

That's really sweet of you to say! I feel like I haven't been really keeping up with this blog because of the fic, I only really made the tumblr because-I believe @verdantglow asked if I had one and I was like "aight, bet"

That feeling when my mutuals are also insane about one of my favourite fics which happens to also be written by one of my mutuals!!!! : D !!!!!!!!

Like, legit, I did not know that Void & Yoshi were also so hype about Haunted Eyes, My Broken Heart, but also this surprises me exactly none given that they are on Extremely Similar Bullshit to me & HEMBH is basically like Space somehow knows all my exact headcanons & vsmp trope loves & is making a fic out of all of them.

(Seriously. Space. Idk how you've managed to wind up making a fic so specifically matching my interests, but goddamn, you sure are. I was talking about HEMBH with my partner the other day & realized that thus far, (apart from Louis) it mostly focuses on the quartet at the center of my canon divergence au, no wonder I love it so much! & you weren't even planning on focusing on Abolish & yet...!!!)
