Duamutef is one of the Four Sons of Horus. His duty is to protect the deceased in the afterlife. He is typically depicted as a jackal and is responsible for protecting the stomach of the deceased during mummification. He is also one of the guardian gods of the first hour of the day and night.

Neith only gave birth to Duamutef at Isis's insistence. Immediately after his birth, Duamutef was taken from her and put in the palace's catacombs. There, he trained hard in order to protect his father, who knew nothing of his existence.
Duamutef was a tall man with broad shoulders who tended to stay in the background and did not speak much. He often hid his godly identity, instead working as a blacksmith in various human villages.
One day, however, Pachet discovered him and investigated further. She found out that there were more sons of Horus and decided that Isis and all her descendants must die in order to free the other Egyptian deities from Isis's grip. Although she sought allies, including Anubis, her plan was discovered. She only managed to attack Duamutef in the form of a giant lion and mortally wound him. By the time help arrived, it was too late...
