Calypso is a naturally shy and nervous individual, rightfully so, given her ability to see how everything, everyone began, and how it all will end. She's often seeing fidgeting with her hands, picking at her talons, and regularly uses her cowl to hide her face when looking into the future, an effort to make it more difficult to read her emotions- Though her body language gives it away, even if her tone and words do not. Through rigorous training, Calypso has managed to master her sight past, present and future, at the steep cost of knowing the end is unable to be stopped, no matter the efforts one puts forth.

STORY
Calypso left her parents very early, very suddenly- Unexpectedly, as a young child. In the dead of a clear night, she happened to glance skyward, and so it began. In a trance, she began to blindly follow the stars as they guided her to and fro across Sornieth, through rivers and snow. Most of her young life was spent in a daze thanks to her visions– Until she met Saffi, the Chatelaine of the Scarlet House. Saffi had used her magic to briefly interrupt the vision, bringing Calypso back to the present, pulling her snout down to ensure she doesn't fall back into the trance, as Saffi was positive she could only interrupt it once. From there, Calypso was taken under Saffi's wing, where she continues to refine and practice with her sight, though the latter deems her training complete, the former believes it will only be complete when she can get ahold of her anxiety in regards to the less pleasant visions- Those of one's end, including her own.
She offers her services, her sight, a means to avoid a nasty injury, the solution to something that troubles them, to those trading with the Caravan for a small price- Nothing much, really, some food, some treasure or gems. Just 10,000 treasure, 10 gems, or 15 Pale Pygmy Hippos is all she needs to take a peek for her clients- Though without fail, she repeats time and time and time again, over and over before payment exchanges hands, before she peers into the fate of her client, after the vision has been completed, that no matter what they do, who they go to, how they change, they cannot escape the end. They best make peace with their deities and themselves, should it be approaching sooner than they'd like. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ |
