I was thinking the other day about just how much has changed on fr since I first joined, and was curious to see just what other people see as new to them when they joined.
I joined around the first Wavecrest Saturnalia and I remember when the Kelp Beds was added.
I also remember how forever ago you used to get all the things you bought/sold on the auction house through dm lol

My memory seems to be shaky, like, I feel like I was there when things got added, but then it turns out it's wrong lol I suppose some things were just still new-ish to older players too, like poison/toxin at the time.
I joined the week of the colorwheel expansion, so the site was ablaze.

I think the first major update I remember was the release of Seraph. I also remember the Skydancer release, that was crazy!
I think the most defining aspect of early FR was just how laggy the site was, I'm glad they managed to fix that...

Side note I just looked up when each gene was released and glimmer came out after I joined, which is a bit nuts to me because it feels like it's always been there
Well it explains why so many dragons had crystal/facet and the same treasure genes back then lol, I hadn't even thought about it but there were so few genes around...

Then...2 (?) days later, there was an error caused by a mod where they accidentally moved the thread to Announcements & News instead of the Help forums and the forum post appeared on the main page. It was really funny. Then two months later (I think), Undel posted Sunshine and people were losing their minds. The colour wheel expansion was so cool

joined during notn and had 0 idea what was going on other than pretty dragons
hatched a pretty g1 primal from my first egg

Thinking XXX/XXY dragons were SUPER RARE (like, barely any on the site/super hard to breed) and I had an entire lair full of em.
Later purged them and started my love of XYZ dragons.
