Imperial were legitimately more expensive and Petals was released shortly after I started! I remember how long Petals dragons took to drop in price, not like these days with all the over saturation and "helpful" people giving away new genes for free lmao

- Iri/Shim was the best gene combo.
- Sign-ups only happened for a limited time, so flights would organize welcome events for newbies. (I really miss this)
- Glimmer hadn't been released yet, and white underbelly was a big deal.

I joined on april fools, literally a few hours before server roll-over. I'd waited till after roll over I think to start diving into dragon stuff and seeing all the hubbub of everyone having familiar avatars and jokey threads! Let me tell you, that was an interesting experience. I sure picked a day to join. lol
Other things of note... um.I remember some murmuring about eyes, but they were already a thing when I got my bearings. I remember the Laced/Edged gene release shortly after. Galore and the announcement talking about ancients and how they'll work came a few months later.

Remember when it took all day to bond with 15 familiars because the servers were fried...
I remember light sprites being <40k treasure on the AH
I remember when people would pay 400k+ for basic doubles/triples/anything not common breed dragons.
I remember old chat groups before discord was a thing, I don't even remember what site it was on but I remember the layout.
I remember the one and only time (I think?) that a flight wasn't top of dom on their flight holiday.
I remember why and when an ex-staff member got called out for doing things I don't think we can even talk about anymore.

In short, I'm old and I remember a lot of stuff from when the site first opened xD I got in right before they closed down registrations for the first time. Things were a lot different back then! Gems were once 1:45, eggs were 30k treasure, and there were fewer users on the entire site than there are total users in earth at this very moment (active and inactive).
