A whole lot has changed since I joined! One of the first big changes I can remember was when they removed egg rot. I didn't breed dragons very often at all when I started so I never had any eggs go bad, but I know for a fact it would be pretty bad for me now if it still existed, lol. (Because I often forget to incubate even when I'm on every day.)

Joined the window before the very first Night of the Nocturne. Oh god, the lag. Hurriedly trying to level my dragons, poking my head into Kelp Beds with, like, a level 12, immediately getting OHKOed, and spending the rest of the time in Scorched Forest (only three venues had Mimics, IIRC only Kelp Beds and Golem Workshop had bosses, and Boreal Wood had... what is Coarsefur Yeti's status, anyway?). Working hard to try and get all the then-released bears (it was halfway through the cycle) and making plans to save up for the Sprites, wincing at the Bestiary because "omg I'm never going to be able to get all of those!" (I am doing. A bit better.)
Looking at the Noc egg prices, wincing, and eventually buying my first Noc for... I think 50kt? off AH. Working hard to buy another later in January. Three gem genes already = cost me around 250kt, IIRC. The debate between irishim or cryface as the big gene combos de jour. Irishimsmoke being the affordable alternative to irishimcirc. The big gathering familiar targets being Dappled Dunhoof and Hippojay, and spending the entirety of Brightshine 2015 grinding to buy the Dunhoof. Eagerly training for the Battle of Spring (Nature vs Light in February 2015), which we only narrowly lost, only to take revenge that August!
Saddest memory - browsing familiars just before I joined, discovering Skycat, and immediately falling in love. Clearly, seven years later, it still has yet to be. Pensive emoji.

I remember waiting for a registration window and when one finally opened I was so excited! Shortly after was the first ever Wavecrest Saturnalia and I was still so confused what do.
I mostly hunted for pastel dragons back then to make a pastel dragon hatchery, since colorcombos back in the day were still hard to acquire, even on the smaller colorwheel.
(Also basically all my dragons were Iri/shim/underbelly or gembond coatls, cause coatls had just come out shortly before I joined)
