I ordered handmade 14k solid gold piercing jewelry, 4 pieces from 3 different sellers. I was a little taken aback because of the bad reviews but I must say that I had good experiences. The sellers kept me posted about the delivery progress and I received the pieces in less than a week. No difficulties with customs so far. I would definitely recommend.

I have already contacted your support multiple times over the last week, but I'm not receiving any response.
My Etsy Shop is stuck in holiday mode with the following message:
"We put your shop on pause. Your shop has been placed in temporary Holiday Mode to help you manage your current orders or give you time to verify your seller or business info. While you can’t receive new orders right now, you can still edit listings or draft new ones."
I have no orders in pending and my shop was on track for star seller last month, and have just invested into social media advertising and relisting & listing new items...
I have not received any other message from you.
I've been on Etsy for about 5 years and my shop is in excellent standing. They haven't given me any explanation why they put my shop into holiday mode, and you’re not answering any messages...
I have been contacting you for over 10 days now – daily, no response. While you mention it takes 1-2 days to respond, all you do is close the support cases and remain silent.
What kind of treatment is this?
It’s really quite disrespectful to completely ghost me when you and your community have massively benefited from my success over the last 5 years – all the fees I pay for listings, sales and promotions keep your staff employed and your website running; not to mention my overall review score being 4.8/5.0 further enhancing your site’s success and trustworthiness.
Would you please turn this mode off again as a matter of urgency?

Since 2017, I have run a small Etsy shop from Jordan, completing over 5,900 orders and fully complying with Etsy’s rules.
I was notified that (my Etsy shop will be forcibly closed on 5 August 2025 ), due to Etsy’s decision to remove PayPal as a payment option and the absence of Etsy Payments in Jordan - leaving me no means to receive payments.

I proposed multiple reasonable and lawful solutions to Etsy, including :
* Using my verified Payoneer account, which works legally and officially in Jordan.(which is permitted for sellers in other countries).
* Transferring my shop location or shop management to a US based trusted individual.
* Establishing a US based company to legally shift my store operations.
Unfortunately, Etsy rejected every solution without offering any alternative. They did not give me a path forward, nor did they demonstrate any consideration for loyal sellers who helped build their platform,
They refused to allow PayPal to continue until a proper solution could be found.
Etsy allow sellers from many countries around the world to receive payments from Payoneer, Although I have a verified Payoneer account, but they do not want to add the Payoneer service to me.
It is deeply unjust for Etsy to succeed with our efforts for years, and now abandon us without support. They are turning their back on sellers who helped build this platform, not because we did anything wrong, but simply because of where we live.
We sellers are families, workers, human beings, not numbers. And I believe this injustice should be addressed at the highest level.

I hope that in the future, the competent legal authority will hold them accountable and stop them from this injustice to simple sellers.

bought 2 posters at first around £80.etsy ireland who everyone seems to get passed on to does not reply to emails ,phone calls was charged over £500 for the postage ad the posters,complained ,refused items and sent back,the seller I found living in greece,passing the buck to ireland.
then lately I bought a globe (semi preciouse stone) billed £130postage ,thinking the US seller had added the customs charges.only to be told "its not my problem " customs bill $132 US Dollars. £92 .I have refused to pay and she will be getting it sent back soon.in short this company are scam artists galore.this order didnt even show on my account.luckilly paypal refunded again.STEER WELL CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY.THIEVES AND SCAM ARTIST only out to get as much money off you as possible

Absolute nightmare of a platform
I’ve had my seller account for less than a week, and I’ve already been suspended twice with no explanation. All the products I was selling were completely designed by me and only. No violation whatsoever.
This second suspension cost me both the few customers I had and money, as I was even just charged for refunds due to client’s request—a situation entirely caused by Etsy’s suspension of my account!
Tried to contract someone to resolve it and received only automated replies!! And the reply was that my appeal was denied even though they carefully reviewed it. I NEVER EVEN WROTE ANYTHING THE SYSTEM DIDNT ALLOW ME TO!
And the result? Complete shutdown of my shop!

There’s a pop up as you join that makes it seem like you’re chatting to one of their staff members. You also receive a message in your Etsy inbox from the ‘staff’. It’s a scam and I reported this to Etsy and they were not interested and did not apologise but sent me generic information on security. I asked for reimbursement for having to change all my IDs and they didn’t bother to respond yet send me a bill every month and wants me to pay to close the account.

It's obvious Etsy has no intentions of doing anything about this scam from the below e-mail.
They only flagged the messages in yellow - see screenshots from previous e-mail sent. after I reported this and then deleteted all messages including ones from the real Etsy to get rid of any evidence.
I have since tried to get my drivers licence number changed I need to report this to the police and obtain an event number. The police are unable to do this without some evidence from CBA - the 2 attempts at access to Netbank number and attempted transactions. The process is the same for everyone.
If CBA works with the police it's more likely of a successful outcome.
Please provide me the information I need to report this to the police.

I'm sharing my experience with Etsy as a warning to other sellers. Despite being a new seller and having never even launched my store, my account was inexplicably closed.
I was planning to offer my handmade paintings on Etsy and explore the possibility of using print-on-demand services. However, before I could get started, my account was terminated without any explanation.
I've reached out to Etsy multiple times for clarification, but they've been unresponsive. This lack of transparency and support is unacceptable. I urge other sellers to be cautious when using Etsy. Share your own experiences in the comments to raise awareness about this issue.....

I am a seller. And my compaint is about Etsy as a company.
I am feeling so frustrated. Etsy keeps penalizing me for late shipments. And my shipments are 100% on time. Even have 5* reviews on the mentioned shipments. Etsy wants me to create shipment labels through them, but they do not offer that in NL yet. But I get penalized on a service that they do not offer. I have so many outstanding complaints and no solution to one of them.

Stay well away from especially if you are a seller. Etsy like to take a listing fee, then suspend your account without communication, then after around two weeks they will close your account leaving you out of pocket without communication.
Do yourself a favour find yourself a real selling platform look at the products on offer print on demand Canva designs made in China rubbish. And you can list the same stuff until Etsy randomly closes your account without explanation and advises they will not respond to your communication, just look at the Trustpilot rating.

Also when you want to return an item they make you write a 5-star review first as a ‘policy’ for the return to proceed. It’s simply fraude.

Aanleiding blokkeren; Ik wou een product bestellen en gebruikte hierbij een VPN, hierdoor kon ik niet betalen, na contact met een klantenservice medewerker via live chat gaf de medewerker aan dat ik wel zou moeten kunnen betalen, echter na mijn koekjes te hebben opgeschoond nog steeds niet mogelijk en geblokkeerd.
Ik heb ze nu om de exacte reden gevraagd en om mijn account weer te activeren. Ze houden zich niet aan de Europese wetgeving met hun manier van handelen en heb ze aangegeven bij geen reactie de situatie te melden bij de Europese toezichthouder.

Very bad customer service and very bad policies! They block you for no reason and no valid reason! And their customer service is very un-customer friendly, when responding they indicate that they will not respond further.
Block cause; I wanted to order a product and used a VPN, which prevented me from paying. After contacting a customer service employee via live chat, the employee indicated that I should be able to pay, but after clearing my cookies it was still not possible. blocked.
I have now asked them for the exact reason and to reactivate my account. They do not comply with European legislation with their way of acting and, if there is no response, they have indicated that they will report the situation to the European supervisory authority.
