Fantastic advice line. Quick and easy to use and very informed advisers.
trialled their subscription based portfolio portal, which is not worth signing up to imo, its very slow and frustrating, its not worth using. My main gripe for review is, even after cancelling the subscription in the trail period I was charged. When i queried this with NRLA they said i should cancel my subscription and i cant be refunded, so it was a bit of an arrogant response, their cancellation process is not fit for purpose and failed. I am trying again, i hope i dont get charged again.

I have been a member of the RLA and NRLA for nearly 2 decades. I've always found their advice team to be knowledgeable and helpful. Today I had a specific situation "outside the box" regarding Renters Rights application. Sally offered just want I needed to know. Thanks NRLA

A very comprehensive and clearly written website with helpful links to government legislation and forms. The completion notes are especially useful, and a call to an advisor helped guide me to a plan of action.

Generally great advice at NRLA, I attend meetings when local enough and webinars but feel a bit conflicted on recent advice, I had a damp and mould specialist round who informed me of a few things I needed to do to meet regulations e.g deeper insulation in the loft, hard wired fan in the kitchen which I’m more than happy to sort out, however my tenant does not want the hassle of having this done.
My tenant signed the contract that the loft is not to be used but I’ve found out it’s full of empty boxes, suitcases, Christmas tree etc etc.
I reminded her she mustn’t use the loft, to which she replied well where am I meant to put them.
On ringing NRLA, I was advised that I can’t force the tenant to have the work done which would leave me as not compliant , leading to potential fines. I was told as long as I have documentation of any conversations either my text or email it’s fine, I’m not sure the council will take the same view. This is not a dig at the particular advisor but it’s worrying going forward as it won’t be the tenant being fined.
