Beware buying direct from Samsung Portugal online

My Samsung fridge was 11 months old when it developed a fault such that it needs to be replaced. I bought from Samsung direct online. They have offered a refund but have refused a replacement. Apparently their policy is refunds only if you buy from them online. This is against Portuguse and EU law. (Portugal Decreto-Lei 84/2021) I told them this but they have refused to budge. Legal proceedings to follow.

Samsung use the worst logistics company…

Samsung use the worst logistics company I have ever come across for Portugal orders. You place an order and are given an estimated delivery date but then they try to deliver a week earlier when you are out. No way of contacting them and the online date picker will not allow an alternative schedule. They do not answer their phone either. A complete waste of time, I would happily go to the Loule depot to collect, where my order is apparently sitting there waiting for Christmas - but they do not even give you this option. I have many Samsung products but now I have to look elsewhere to source my Christmas presents. Thanks a lot Samsung.

Beware and stay away!

This is the worst Samsung service I've seen in the 20+ countries where I used Samsung products. Their couriers can't find themselves on Google Maps and will spend weeks delaying the product delivery to your home. Shipping department will put you on hold and then just hang up time after time. Customer service says that it's the "other department" issues.

Don't get me wrong, I love Samsung's products and quality, but with this level of attitude to the customers, you might as well buy any other respectable brand and not have to deal with not having your fridge, or washing machine NOT delivered for weeks.

Regarding update android 15 ui 7.

Regarding update android 15 ui 7.

Bottom bar "line" design does not disappear / setting to make the full screen clean with just navigation gestures is gone.

Congratulations on your "new" update. I now absolutely hate my brand new phone.

I just got my first samsung, i was completely lied to, this is horrible, I feel like vomiting everytime i think of my phone, let alone using it and worse, looking at it.

Never again Samsung. And this is seriously making me think about throwing every samsung thing i have to the trash where it belongs. Its not just this update, its everytimewith everythingof this company, but this was the final drop of water.

I hope this phone breaks soon.

By buying this phone, Samsung made me feel like exactly just like i got robbed on the street. All the excitation without one thing of value.

I feel less of a man by making the choice to buy a samsung . (Very ashamed... I was told good things about their phones - but ultimately its my decision)

The ui of Huawei Psmart 2019 was so much better.

I wish i could have better things to say, im usually a balanced person, but this is like a scam, a worldwide scam... the quality is worse than the competition, how can there be good reviews? How did you convince the world a worse product is actually a better product? I know it has something to do with phonosemantic camouflage. I just wanted to let you know where your product actually compares to another product.

I miss my Huawei...

Samsung A15.

Second Broken Samsung Washing Machine

Second clothes washing machine that breaks right after the warranty period expires. The first was 6 months after, they gave me a 40% discount if I purchased another one. I did. This second one broke 6 weeks after the warranty ended. I did ask them if, given the time it passed since the warranty expired, they provided some good will assistance. Nothing they can do.
This is incredibly frustrating and ridiculous.

Also, for the first one I did paid assistance, where all the technician did was trial and error, with me paying for his trips back and forth. Ended not fixing the machine. This second one I'm not even touching their (paid) support, which is not good at all.

I have all the emails exchange, and I can prove all this in detail, should Samsung care.

Edit:
Has it happened on the first samsung washing machine, I plan on fixing it myself. I disassembled the machine and wanted to share the state of a product that normally was arround 600€. Keep in mind that this started failed (making a very lound noise when the tub was working, eventually just got completely stuck) at around 6 weeks after the warranty ended, so take whatever conclusions might come to mind.

Wanted to post photos of the state of what I found inside the machine, which is just incredible. However, I couldn't find a way to post photos here. You can go to Samsung Portugal profile on Google Maps and take a look at my review, the photos are there.

Again, keep in mind this machine has 3 years and 6 weeks of working mostly only on weekends, so much less intensive than most families.

Samsung TVs cease to function after 3 years

I purchased 2 50” QLED Samsung TVs. One in 2020 in the UK. It went black 3 years afterwards. The other one I bought it in Portugal in 2021. It went black in 2024, also 3 years later. So it seems that at least these models malfunction after 3 years. Repairing them costs at least 50% of their initial price.
Samsung is not keeping up good standards.
In Portugal, no one in Samsung could even tell me the name of the company’s manager. Samsung Portugal doesn’t care about its customers. Their answers are typified and without substance. I will never buy Samsung products again in my life and will strongly recommend family, friends, and people I know to choose a different brand

One star is too much - damaged product, bad and chaotic service, DISHONEST company

To cut a long story short: in November last year I bought through their online store their flagship mobile phone, Galaxy S23 Ultra for EUR 1199. It either came with a damaged screen or the damage appeared while charging overnight (there are several reviews out there of users to whom this happened). In any case customer service told me to return it.
I had indeed the same issue as another person describes here below regarding the courier to return it from Portugal. I am saving you the details of the very chaotic process. In any case we managed at the end. However, I never received my reimbursement. Only after me contacting them they told me that they did not accept my return because the phone was damaged (?!) They even accused me that I had dropped the phone. So upfront, also avoiding the use of warranty. Then, to get my damaged phone back, they told me, that I had to do the arrangements and pay courier to get it from Spain!!!
By the way, phone came back with more damage (the side of it got rubbed) and paradoxically my credit card insurance did not pay, because I did NOT drop the phone and responsibility is with Samsung!
At the end, after a complaint, they apologised and to compensate they offered me to reimburse the courier costs, 47 EUR + they would send me a gadget of my choice (a charger or earbuds) + 15% discount voucher.
So following their instructions I sent them my bank details for the reimbursement and address to receive the offers, early January 2024. Of course, noting so far. Multiple reminders through their customer service E-mail remain without reply.
My next step, a complaint through the official national website. Then to my surprise Samsung closed the complaint arguing "treated/under analysis". This was at the beginning of April. What has to be analysed so much? They simply did not pay neither sent the promised product!
Their strategy seems clearly ignoring. My impression is that they have been manipulating and LYING and that their policy is NOT paying anything. It is unbelievable: I never had such an experience with any company, especially a big multinational like this. Even Aliexpress offers better conditions/service, they do not lie and move around in circles.
I mean, after all: at first making me return the product, then not accepting the return, making me to get it back and then on top after their (false?) promise not even reimbursing EUR 50 on a purchase of EUR 1190, I call this dishonest, stingy and miserable.
People, for your well-being STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG!

Excellent product but bad after sales service

I purchased a hob/oven/extractor fan. Prior to ordering online, I requested how the recycling works because the oven could be returned for recycling. It was explained at the time that the old stove would be removed offsite once the new stove is delivered.
I proceeded to place the order.
They delivered the order, however, they were not given paperwork to collect the old stove at the same time.
I contacted Samsung and now they want ME to make the necessary arrangements to collect the old stove.

Someone at Samsung failed to supply the delivery company with the relevant paperwork and now they want me to spend endless time on the phone to fix up their mess? Personally I do not have the time to sit and listen to mundane telephone recordings.

I have now emailed them to make the necessary arrangements and have it removed by the end of the 15th March 2024.

Samsung, I expected better service from you! You dont give customers the runaround when the fault is on your side!

Samsung and MondoAffari bad partnership

The rating here is to reflect the partnership between Samsung Portugal and MondoAffari, a 3rd party company responsible for exchanging your used mobile phone for money.
Mondo Affari has offered me 1 EURO for an expensive phone with broken display.
The terms and conditions of the Trade-In Campaign by Mondo Affari states you can exchange your used mobile phone for money, even if it has a broken display, but in reality, after they received my mobile phone they said they would offer 1 EURO which is a crazy valuation, considering mobile phones with broken window are sold between 30 to 80 euros in some sites. MondoAffari does not provide a clear reason that has violated the terms, they just wrote an email saying "...it is not in accordance with the initial data, specifically presenting the following anomalies/damages: broken display."I am wondering what they mean by "initial data".

I know my mobile phone matches all conditions in terms, including **GRADE E:** Product with a defective or cracked screen. The product may be in good condition or show obvious signs of use, complete with all electronic components and their plastic parts, and may not have been previously handled by other technicians in an attempt to repair it.

So it felt like a scam to me, really disappointed with Samsung and this 3rd party company used to manage the trade-in. I'm not sure I'll be buying a Samsung mobile phone in the future. These companies just try to fool you with fake promises, points that you cannot use or are worthless, and campaigns that will not pay fair prices for used mobile phones. I would suggest Samsung to perform these evaluations themselves within the country, instead of relying on a 3rd company located in Italy which is expensive if the client wants them to send back the product.

Recusam-se a dar-me os pontos associados a uma compra

I made a purchase this morning without realising I hadn’t logged into my account. Contacted customer services to add the rewards point to my acc, they could recognise the purchase and told me it’s not possible!! Their suggestion is that I cancel the whole order (delay delivery!) wait for the refund (they were quick to get the cash out!) and purchase the whole item again logged in to my account!
Any rewards program allows you add the points at a later date as long as you can prove the purchase, you can’t tell me you don’t have the technology to do it, and no one is able to explain what makes it impossible, you rather lose a sale and a customer, so be it.
Unbelievable!

I have absolutely HAD ENOUGH of trying…

I have absolutely HAD ENOUGH of trying to get the frame (they call it Bezell) for my very expensive samsung Frame 75 inch television which I purchased from Worten months ago.
When we purchased the television we had to order the frame separately from Samsung as part of a “promotion”, why I have no idea. To me when you buy a television called “The Frame” you should be able to order the frame at the same time as the television. We were also entitled to a Tablet.
Anyway…my son went online and ordered the frame and the tablet. Within a couple of days we received the tablet and…a battery and cover for a projector that we do not own and have no idea about. Thanks Samsung. We got in touch with Samsung to explain they had sent the wrong items and could they pick them up and deliver the correct item. I stayed in for the entire afternoon we had arranged but they didnt come. They said they were coming another day and I said this wasn’t convenient. They came anyway and disturbed a meeting. Not acceptable.
This was MONTHS AGO!! Every time I email them or ring them they say they are looking into it but they never get back to me. I have had some seriously bad customer service in my time but this is up there with the worst. I will be filling in the complaints book…in the meantime please be warned that Samsung Portugal are absolutely useless.
update…they’re now saying we didnt order it…I give up!! no apology. Why cant these people just admit they got it wrong and say sorry and send the correct item?? How hard would that be?? instead they blame me. They sent a projector battery and cover in error!! We didnt order that, we dont have a projector…they make me so angry and frustrated. SEND THE CORRECT ITEM PLEASE SAMSUNG…WE BOUGHT THE TELEVISION ELEVEN WEEKS AGO
