A terrible company. Paid Gold Plus Insurance plus medical condition as I am type 1 diabetic. Had been recommended for the Libre 2 plus sensors which last 2 weeks and are registered to my phone. Saving all hastle of prick finger test. Sensor faulty 1 week into holiday, no replacement,had to call doctor for advice. Prescription made for pharmacy. Then resorted back to finger prick testing before meals, costs were necessary due to my condition which I assumed were covered as I paid the extra. Now a deduction of £75.00 been taken absolute cheek. RIP OFF

Waiting over a year for my insurance refund only to find out today that Reactive Claims have “handed me over” to another company a week ago. I have never been informed of this change. Disgusting customer care- or complete lack of it!

Absolute joke of a company!! I have a legitimate claim, Took them 6 weeks to finally get back too me kept being told ‘21 days’ they passed, asked for more bank info, sent them and they were wrong! Told me too send the correct info which I did.. no reply… ring AGAIN and too be told my claim is waiting too be reviewed. So STILL waiting after I got told from the first ever phone call that it will be done within 21 days… I must of rang them around 40 times and just keep getting told the same thing ‘it’s in a queue’.. some of the staff are very rude too!
Scammers, avoid
Made a claim 9 month ago and still battling for compensation as per their policy. They made a 1% offer which was rejected. Resorting to lawyers now. AVOID
Fraudulent
I submitted a travel insurance claim 82 days ago and have still not received any compensation or a proper update. Every time I contact the company, I get responses after their "21 days timeframe" or no reply at all. Their policy promises reasonable claim handling, but this has been anything but reasonable.
The lack of communication and endless delays have caused me unnecessary stress and financial strain. A company selling travel insurance should provide support when customers need it most, not leave them waiting for months.
I would strongly caution anyone considering this insurer — if you actually need to make a claim, expect a long, frustrating experience.
Avoid at all costs if you can
Absolutely appalling company. Been waiting 11 months for the outcome of my claim and all I get is we will contact you in 14 days. I had life saving surgery in Turkey last year and my insurance company was All Clear. Had I known they used this company I would have avoided them at all costs. They are underwritten by Zurich but I still haven’t had a satisfactory response except Reactive are now saying it takes 21 days because they are seasonally busy. All Clear have really good reviews but it’s all about how nice their sales staff are not their claims team
Absolutely shocking
1 star is one too many. Negative rating needed.Absolutely shocking . Claim submitted on July 1st 2025 Took them over 9 weeks to pay out . All emails from Reactive apart from one were as a result of an email from myself. No continuity of agents handling my claim and one I actually spoke to was hostile and patronising. They kept asking for more documentation without ever explaining why and in ignorance of my actual policy.
Gallagher Bassett and Reactive Claims
I flew home on day 3 of a 10 day holiday due to a family bereavement and I supplied all evidence needed. No response after 5 weeks from Reactive Claims. I spoke to Allclear Insurance who informed me they have stopped using them and referred me on to their new partner Gallagher Basssett. AllClear asked for prompt resolution which I had but only a 1/5 of my holiday was refunded. I asked AllClear to contact Gallagher and ask them to review. A month passed and nothing from Gallagher. I contacted AllClear again and asked to make a formal complaint. They did so that day and also issued a formal complaint to Zurich who oversee Gallagher. Within 2 days it was recalculated correctly by a complaints handler. I am with AllClear Insurance - Gold as recommended by Which. I wonder why they use such poor claim handlers ? Given such a simple claim, I have no faith in Reactive Claims nor Gallagher.

Tried to claim for my holiday to Iceland which I cancelled as my 14 year old son had an infected toe and required surgery. REACTIVE CLAIMS HAVE REFUSED MY CLAIM based on the Doctor only advising not to travel not explicitly telling me not to. I then sent a screen shot of the volcanic eruptions also occurring at this time and their reply was "Whilst we appreciate your comments, cancellation of a trip cannot be considered due to the volcanic eruption only specific insured reasons can be considered. Furthermore, you cannot change your claim to try and gain a positive outcome.
We are sorry to advise we cannot change our decision."
I was only allowed one reason when I made my claim! I will take this forward with the Ombudsman. Does anyone have an existing appeal with them that I can tag onto?

ZERO STARS - Had a legitimate claim as our car hire got cancelled due to a delayed flight and they rejected the claim saying there was no proof the flight was delayed. Even though I send them the email evidence from Easy Jet. They just stopped replying. Appalling cowboy company. Do not deal with any third party companies that have anything to do with them. As you will never get a payout.

My partner was diagnosed with breast cancer in April. We cancelled the holiday and started the claims process. Just had our money back (middle of august). Lots of phone calls and e mails throughout an extremely stressful time. Why on earth you have to pay £35.00 for a GP letter when you have several letters etc from a consultant re times of your operation and diagnoses I do not know.

I have made a claim to the financial odbudsman today. I spoke to customer service and even though i explained my frustrastions not personal to her i got a frosty reception. This company tries everything to prolong my claim. It has been months ! They then state that the have had no reply to the silly question they ask me. I have all evidence and habe given all details they need. Il give a couple of days then ill be contacting my aunt who said she will be my solictor for free. I will not let this drop until I have recieved payment. I wonder how many people will back me up on my social media tik tok and facebook to put a case against this company !

Sadly you do not have an 0 star option, so I have given 1. Almost impossible to get a response from this company. Pleased to hear that All Clear Travel insurance is no longer using this company. Still trying to speak to someone regarding a very straightforward cancellation claim for an amount a fraction of the cost I paid for my insurance policy. They do reply to emails, saying that it takes up to 14 days to respond to a claim. This is NOT TRUE. I have tried to phone several times with no success and the same result, a recorded message saying that I was in a queue waiting for the next available agent. Eventually I gave up. As I write this I have been in their queue after the recorded message for more than 15 minutes! Such a bad experience. I’ll have to give up again!
No Response to Urgent Travel Claim – Left Stranded and Forced to Pay Out of Pocket
I submitted a travel insurance claim (Claim No. 246200) on July 9, 2025, involving a time-sensitive personal liability situation. Despite following all procedures and contacting Reactive Claims and Cover-More multiple times - including a formal complaint on July 16 and a follow-up to senior management (Covermore’s CEO and UK MD) on July 23 – I’ve received no acknowledgment or response whatsoever.
Due to their complete inaction, I was forced to make an out-of-pocket payment under threat of legal and police action from a property owner abroad. This caused a lot of financial stress!
I am deeply disappointed by the lack of professionalism, transparency, and basic customer support. I will be escalating this to the Financial Ombudsman Service and would urge others to think twice before relying on this provider for support in a crisis.

2 years ago I left a review here for this company, a terrible review following the unexpected passing of my father (my mother was abroad, dad didn't go, he was never going on the trip and not to do with ill health, she went with her sister).
This company was absolutely shocking to deal with for the unexpected early flight home for mum and her sister.
I won't go into detail again, but there is a full review on here, please read it. We were too overcome with grief at the time and decided to not fight anymore as it was draining for us all making it more upsetting to deal with. We should have fought!! The company won and these are their tactics in hope people will give up. It's wrong on all levels.
I am astonished to still read the fight of people. Surely collectively we can come together to make an official complaint how this company is running? Trading Standards perhaps?
They must stop trading.
If anyone volunteers to start a Facebook page or alike, I would gladly join to get this company brought to justice, like Alan Bates who fought the Post Office.

I have been going back and forth for nearly three months with a claim after our holiday. I have sent all the paperwork they asked for , when you email they only reply right at the end of the 14 day turnaround on EVERY email....then I needed a doctor's letter which I paid £35 for and sent in as requested. I have rang them every day this week, never got through and it just puts you in a " queue" and rings out for over 40min or till I get fed up.....this company are trying every trick in the book NOT to payout....will never use again
Make the process so complex to discourage payment
If I could give this company minus 5 stars, I would not hesitate. My husband suffered a brain haemorrhage, and we were asked to provide several documents, including the hospital discharge letter. On top of that, we had to pay for a certificate from our GP because the official hospital discharge wasn't deemed "enough."
Now, after several weeks, we're being asked to provide 'no show' documents from the airline and tour operator—even though we didn’t book through a tour operator, and the company should know this, as they’ve had all our documents for months.
The amount we're claiming is relatively small, which makes the whole thing even more ridiculous. And don’t even get me started on the usability of the online form—it was a nightmare to complete.
At every step, this company has made it impossible to get our money back.
