So we had our blinds fitted on 29/11/2022 paid just over £3000.
Had a few issues with installation dates but got around that no problem although added hassle.
Thank god for James the salesman he managed to keep things moving on,I would recommend him no problem.
So you may be thinking there is a but coming,your not wrong.
When you have an issue of any kind you need to contact customer services right so that is when things get very frustrating. I’m not saying it doesn’t get done it just take all your time and patience.
The other issue having spent so much is there guarantee, 5 years apparently on fabric but here it is only 2 years on any labour that is required.
They wanted £82 pounds to come and fix the cord for labour even though we were only 8weeks over the 2 years. I made a fuss and got that down to £42 using my salesman James as an intermediary,thanks James.
What do you do I can’t fix it, although I’m going to watch like a hawk when they come next so to be able to in the future.
In short the blinds are great, sales great, fitting great,after sales and customer services rubbish and they need to sort out there guarantee out .I look at this company as a premium product company with a premium price tag.
The saddest thing is that as I have had to pay them £42 to fix my blinds they have lost out on another order for my landing window that’s very large and front bedroom and study window probably another £3000 for the sake of £42, bad business practice guys very bad.

Dai was great from start to finish. Really friendly and efficient. Helpful the whole way and gave feedback and explanation to get the most out of our shutters. Love the new shutters and he’s done really well to fit them given the shape of our walls/windows.
I wouldn't even give one star terrible service - never reply to emails. My shutters cost me a lot of money and are broken and have been for some time, they supposedly have a 25 year guarantee and I cannot get a call or email back. Appalling customer service and bad quality product.
DO NOT TRUST, We were told in our guarantee that if after 10 years we decided we didn't like them they would take them away and refund half the price, well they said the salesmen lied, shocker. This was the only reason we paid over £5k. Honeycomb blinds for the windows and roof, the clip on the pole snaps off everytime almost in retracting the roof blinds.Keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter, what a joke that is. The blinds were supposed to reduce glaring sunlight but did they hell

Our shutters were measured and fitted by Aleksej - he was fantastic! Always on time and super nice. The finish on the shutters is perfect, even better than I had hoped. Brilliant communication from all the team at Hilary’s and very happy with the final price. Delighted!
Really dissapointed by the level of aftersales service from Thomas Sanderson. I have contacted customer service more than 3x to get an appointment to visit my skylight blinds, I was told that the area manager would call me and arrange an appointment. However, no one called, kept on waiting since November 2025 for a call and I followed up 3 more times but no one called. This is really dissappointing. Also, I was told that my job order has been cancelled for no reason which is really annoying. Avoid Thomas Sanderson at all costs!
We were extremely disappointed with the lack of communication from the surveyor. At no point were we informed that the bar separators on our shutters would be visible from the outside, which has completely ruined the overall look of the property. Had this been explained properly, we would have reconsidered the design.
When we raised this issue and looked for a resolution, Thomas Sanderson showed no interest in rectifying the problem and did not appear to care that we were unhappy with the final result. Overall, the experience fell well short of expectations, particularly given the premium pricing and reputation of the company.
So I purchased 2 sets of sky pod blinds around March this year.A lady came out to do the survey and we agreed the price. All was going OK until it was the time for the installation we agreed a date, the installer never turned up and I didn't get a phone call.I made a call and they made excuses and turned to a another installer.He turned up on time and did a good job i couldn't complain. Everything is ok for nine months initially i was told they would need to be charged a couple of times a year but being a retired electrician i new it would be more than a couple of time's.so I charged them more often. On the 28th of November this year i wanted to watch a football match in the afternoon so I closed the blinds. After the game finished I proceeded to open the blinds and only one opened. The following day Friday I contacted Thomas Sanderson customer service and was told they would get some one to contact me
IT never happened so I proceeded to contact my installer who was surprised his manager hadn't spoken to him.on Monday the first I contacted customer service who never apologized and said. I'd after waiting 72 hours for a phone call from a manager which never happened. I made another call this morning to vent my anger and got fed a load of excuses one of them was the manager was booked up and couldn't call me I was fuming the customer service agent had no sympathy at all.I put the phone down and phoned again getting another agent who i found was a better listener. I'm still awaiting the phone call.
It seems they have been bought out by Hillarys and seriously gone down hill. Noone answers my call for help. 2k blinds don't work and the service repair call never happens. Noone contacts me. Biggest waste of 2k.

Very expensive blinds looked very nice initially but wouldn’t recommend unless you would like to replace them every 5 years when the guarantee has run out I’ve never spent so much on blinds that have literally fallen to pieces will not use again in the future that’s for sure not so much as an apology !
Very poor after service .
If it was possible to give zero stars I would!! Rude unhelpful customer service staff very poor product which I paid thousands of pounds for! Their installer couldn’t even measure correctly so I still have no blind in my lantern a year later!!
STAY AWAY!!! Oh and they were bought by Hillary’s blinds 6 months after my shockingly poor installation of my window blinds, who don’t care either!!
Professional instalation worked in a clean and tidy manner.
David was on time, informative, clearly explained what tolerances he had to apply when carrying out the fitting survey, triple checked all his measurements and did all of this without being patronising to a lay person. Fitting date supplied.
We had a man visit our home to talk about installing shutters. He was friendly at first but we said we wanted tier-on-tier and wanted them all to be lockable, and he suddenly got agitated and started being really condescending. He said that's not possible, saying repeatedly that he's never even heard of anything like that, that nobody will do that, and doesn't know what we're talking about, that we weren't tall enough to reach locks at the top of the window anyway (not sure if he's heard of footstools). He talked to us like we were complete idiots and the most uncomfortable part was that he was very obviously trying to keep his cool.
We told him that we've had two other shutter companies visit us and they had absolutely no problem with our request. At that point he said that they obviously weren't the right company for us and left. We felt very relieved when he was gone.
We even left it a while to leave this review so he would've long forgotten where we live.
He doesn't belong in this job. He has a big anger problem, he also didn't know what his competition was doing. He was a fairly tall, fairly old guy, with his hair in a ponytail.
On top of that, the shutter samples from this company felt noticeably lower quality compared to the other ones who visited us and were not cheaper
David arrived on time and was really helpful and thorough. I would 100% recommend him.
